How seamlessly has A&M transitioned from lil bro of the Big 12 to lil bro of the SEC?

A&M’s entire sub-par pre-SEC football history was defined by being Texas’ little brother and mentally coping with their lack of success and general inferiority to UT by occasionally winning a game against them.
Instead of learning from their mistakes when they finally got a chance to get out of Texas’ shadow (academically, socially, financially, athletically, etc.) they come straight into the SEC and cling to the lil fella loser mindset that led them to 80 years of winning nothing noteworthy. Wow. Just sad that an institution would be wholly defined by an inferiority complex for over 100 years and still celebrate 8-4 mediocrity like A&M fans do.
If Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, or really any other school in the SEC with any tradition hired a coach for $7.5M/year and he went 8-4 they’d be trying to burn his fricking house down and you’d think A&M won the national championship this year

New coach in one year installed new offensive and defensive schemes and proceeded to place second in the toughest division in college football in year one...and you think those other schools wouldn’t be okay with that performance? Your dillusion is breathtaking.
