Ben Garrett downloaded and posted the latest document to come out of the case. Have not read it yet but some of y’all might be able to understand this sort of thing better than me (Lawyers where y’all at). Big long thread on spirit that people are basically saying this shows the NCAA is changing its story on RR and their involvement which contradicts their story in the second NOA. It might help RRs but is it too late to help ole miss’ case? Damage has been done and the ruling is basically done from the committee so I doubt this even makes a difference for anyone but RR.
In my mind this shows how terrible of a strategy exemplary cooperation was. RR actually put up a fight and the NCAA is now back tracking and taking them out of the allegations to avoid further litigation. What are yalls thoughts on this

If that's true, then Ole Miss might be able to take the NCAA to court over damages; however I doubt the NCAA retroactively changes anything from their own proceedings.
NCAA can effectively make up their own rules as they go to suit whatever end result they want.

Exactly. Because who audits the NCAA? Who keeps them honest?

The more things like this that come out the more I hate the way we handled the situation

If the NCAA back tracks on the Rebel Rags accusations in order to get Rebel Rags to drop their lawsuit they are still responsible for libel and can be held accountable in civil law for the defamation of character and reputation to the business. Damages could be brought forward also in a civil case to order the NCAA to pay for the financial hardship that the ncaa caused to Rebel Rags.
The same can be said for the University of Mississippi. The NCAA has done damage to the university's reputation and financial damage due to their negligent actions during their process.
I don't foresee the NCAA backing off and they will just take their chances dragging out any legal or civil actions brought about by either Rebel Rags or the university.

What if season ticket holders did a class action? That’s another topic in that big long thread

It would probably be the first of its kind unless Louisville did itfor their basketball national title with Morgan & Morgan. They chose M&M to make it as high profile as possible and M&M hate the NCAA.
