I know we normally just shite on each other on this forum but I have to give credit, this was pretty cool.

I don’t care about the hit, or the conspiracy or even what the billboard says. That isn’t what makes this so awesome.

Just the fact that a bunch of fans are willing to trust each other to pool the money to put out a message that is FUN and harmless (and not that negative fly the banner about our coaches shite certain teams do) should be applauded.

This is what makes college football fun, what makes it unique. I celebrate that and I admire that LSU fans can not only do this but can also basically turn this whole thing into a net positive when the extra proceeds get donated.

Good job LSU fans.

Also, this is the only conference in America that will every have fans willing to donate money to put multiple billboards in Birmingham OR have fans that protest and damn near throw a riot to not hire someone(Tennessee).

SEC passion isn't matched in any other conference.

Sorry, Gump. It’s not an Alabama company.

Nope.

Lamar is one of the world's largest outdoor advertising companies and has been based in Baton Rouge for decades. They are publicly traded though so if you have a 401(k) you might get a billionth of a penny out of this.

Nobody ever thought a billboard was going to get the SEC to change their mind. It wasn't about that. It's just a way to send a to the SEC and keep some exposure on how stupid the targeting rule ejection is. Puts it back in the spotlight and keeps the talking heads on the subject. Maybe the increased scrutiny leads to some rule changes in the off season.
