… to see the traveling shite show formerly known as Auburn football. What's happening in this town tonight? I need to do something fun.

Get some good dinner (off the square bc the square jam is at 6 plus home game and it'll be impossible to get around) but it should be fine around 8ish. Then if you want something to do after that it depends you're style. Library is a younger crowd for the most part, City grocery and boure have more relaxed settings with better cocktails

Pro tip: don’t let your wife/girlfriend get in the car of one of the many drug dealers cruising the square.

The square will have a lot of stuff going on tonight with the Square Jam going on. Try to hit up City Grocery for dinner, and you better do your best to make it to Big Bad Breakfast in the morning.

Gas station fried chicken.

Library, annex, rafters, or round table if you’re trying to get wild. Get to the library early and get a wristband then go eat somewhere. If not you run the risk of having a terrible cover.
Boure, city grocery, the summit if you’re trying to have fun but not with college aged kids taking over.
Food: good luck. Everywhere on the square is packed already.
If Lbs has their foodtruck out you could get that

Get drunk and go eat the fried chicken on a stick from the gas station just off the square.

Funky's, Roosters, and the Coop are all good bars. The Beacon is also a good restaurant that doesn't get the same recognition as BBB for breakfast. Anywhere on the square is generally good for dinner

Manual for survival in oxford
1. Chat with the locals about how things have gone to hell since the 1860’s
2. Tailgate and have the classy chicken fingers & potato salad in someone’s tent. Again the word is classy. Don’t let chandelier fall on your head.
3. Go to slave auction frat party.
4. Beat the traffic out of the stadium by watching the entire game. Most of the crowd leaving at halftime to go to a rally. They won’t quite tell you the specifics but look for bulging knockoff designer luggage with a tiny bit of a white sheet hanging out.

I imagine there’s a cross burnin’ somewhere you could attend.

The Graduate hotel (North Square side) has a great rooftop bar with overlook of the city.
City Grocery and Boure good square balconies but prob crowded. Good cocktails.
Proud Larry's for music.
Library, Rafters, etc... good younger crowd bars.

I actually spent a night at the Ole Miss Motel many years ago...out of necessity..
Round beds, lots of mirrors and a the afformentioned bed has a coin operated thingy, which unfortunately was not in working order....
No chandeliers tho, so 5/10

This was a solid choice. Thanks for that suggestion. I walked around the square to find that the basketball team was practicing on a makeshift court in front of thousands of people. Dunk contests etc. (complete with cheerleaders and that goofy shark character.) Something Bruce Pearl said he was going to do it Toomers Corner but never did due to weather last weekend.
Oxford is a good town. Very festive. You have lots of good things going on here. Kudos.

Oxford is a cute place, and there are some really good people there, but I just feel overwhelmed by all of the bros and sorority girls. The girls are pretty but really shallow and mean. On the whole, I really hate that place.

The Milf factor is high here as well

Go buy a red and blue necktie....You'll fit in with the home fans and they'll buy you drinks.
