If we move on from Gus do you think he takes another HC job again?

He has an impressive resume, and health wise, he is still very capable of handling the stresses that a HC has to deal with.

If it were me, I wouldn't. I'd buy me a little piece of paradise somewhere and retire to it. He could go count all the cash he is going to be paid.
But then again, this is Auburn football. So the most likely outcome is that he gets a job somewhere and learns from his mistakes here and wins a couple titles.

Not meant to disparage OP, but I don’t care what he does. Should have mailed him to Arkie last year and I didn’t feel that way last year.

We should pay coaches decently, but the truth is IF someone wants to pay a coach who won the SEC once 49 million dollars, then we should wish him well and help him pack.
It’s silly to pay Saban money to Gus.
What would JJ had paid Saban?
1 billion guaranteed?

Most of these guys don't think that way. They will coach until someone carries them out of the stadium. The one exception is Chiz, but I think his "retirement" is more of no one wanting him.

Already forgot about his stint as DC at North Carolina?

He should coach at a military school or Tech that already doesn’t use an orthodox offense.

He'll follow the Dubose path. High School from here on out. He'll say "Mama called". Probably a private, Christian school.

Good thinking. Pretty sure coaching HS ball in Texas was his dream job.

Sure any highschool in NW Arkansas will hire him.

I was talking about being a HC.

He definitely will IMO
Also, I think it's pretty likely that there will be a pretty huge swath of schools that would be interested. Think Georgia Tech level - big name programs with modest expectations.
Also, him getting 30 million may reduce the pressure to offer/take big money.

I think he should go coach high school ball. That’s what he was good at.

What are you talking about?
Every football coach that left Auburn has never enjoyed any success. If you can’t win at Auburn, you can’t win anywhere.

I could see him at Tulsa again.
