Ya i was thinking the same thing - but i know jack shite about knees. But seems reasonable that he could have had a bruise, played on it; favoring the leg, had the awkward alide that resulting in a different injury that needed to be "scoped".
I also have no idea what a knee scope is other than a minor knee procedure. Do they just look at shite or do they drain it or do they clean shite up? Can any doctors provide some insight

No they can make corrections but it is a minimal invasive procedure laying it open for ACL. Small holes

I tore my meniscus in college and finished the season on it. Looking back I wish I got surgery, but was talked down from it and played the remaining 5 games.
Never got surgery in the offseason. They made me do extensive rehab and it took over a year to feel 100% again.

Next question is why didn’t we scope it last week!
Depends on what the diagnosis was last weekend compared to now. I’ve heard meniscus which if that’s true there are multiple grades and types of tears one can experience
I myself have had two for the same meniscus and one was far more limiting than the other. The two jury could mean the meniscus Damage advanced during the game that scoping now seems like the best long term plan. I think we can beat UT with Jalen just fine and he gets an entire week of rest after that. You gently practice him during the LSU week and hope for the best come game time. He should be able to run by then but needs to be cautious about contact at least until the Iron Bowl

OL better block their asses off these next few weeks

Update Tua got scoped. He could play against Tennessee in a limited capacity but I’m wondering how they will play this as I have no idea.
That's great news. They probably cleaned up the miniscus tear via scope and then fed it with the latest & greatest stem cell & fairy dust serum.
I suspect they'll roll with Jalen vs UT and won't play Tua in that game unless he's needed to bail us out. Then Tua should be able to start vs LSU.
Thanks for all the info you bring, Boz!

Probably wasn’t bad enough to get scoped until he dug his cleats in the turf on that slide, which happens to be the leg with the injured knee
That is why you don't slide.

They should be able to like tap themselves out to to end the play. Two taps on the helmet and the whistle blows.

For those counting, this is twice now that Tua has fallen victim to Alabama's injury policy where they forced him through a mild injury, and created a major injury.
Congratulations Coach Saban. I'm fricking livid

How do you know he was “forced” by Saban?

Saban is the CEO. If he wants Tua to sit until he's 100%, he sits. If he wants to test the limits of medical technology and rush guys back, then we have this situation, and the situation in the Spring

So you have direct knowledge of how this goes down?

I see what your saying and it very well may be the case. My line of thinking is that they left it up to Tua and he wanted to give it a shot. After last night, then Tua and his family decided to go ahead and have the procedure. Can't blame a kid for wanting to compete and work through it, if that's what happened. None of us know the situation

Yea Saban even said he wanted to go back in the game . Of course CABAMAFAN knows that’s just a lie .

Hurts can beat Tennessee.
Need Tua back for LSU and State.

Don't set set arbitrary deadline. When he's healed, he's healed.
