People laughed at Coach O when he got hired (me included). Looking like a pretty damn good hire at this point. His kids play hard for him. That's the mark of a good coach. Congrats to the Bengal Tigers.

A man who finishes every statement with “Geaux Tigers” will always be a hit in my book. But he’s certainly proving himself to be much more than a one-trick pony that he’s been painted to be!!!

As I said on The Rant, this LSU team isn't one of our best talent-wise. But it's coached by the best staff LSU has had in a long time.

Adjustments are made, deficiencies are masked, and the team commits few turnovers and penalties.

That's coaching.

He should have gotten the USC job after Kiffin debacle. He righted that ship. Guys play hard for him, no doubt about it.

I always thoyght people were being too hard on him. What impressed me most is there was no letdown at the half yesterday. They knew they were going to see a better Ga team, they did, and they still whipped us

He’s much better than I thought, though I expected him to crash his airboat into the operations facility by day three

He’s proving to be a great bargain hire until the Saban dynasty ends

O is a motivator. he did it at usc. he fires them up and lets his coaches coach.

The Miss State game coming up will really show what this team is capable of. Whipping State will be equally if not more impressive than the Georgia win. It’s very hard to get a team to one out with the same energy two weeks in a row. If LSU wins big then I think O really has a shot of doing something special this year where a loss would just nullify the Georgia win.

Gotta agree. no coach will win every game they coach. He had LSU prepared yesterday and LSU looked good. He is looking like a good hire more and more as time goes along.

His inability to speak English prevented that.

You're one of the top four highest paid coaching staffs in US along w/ Clemson, UGA, and OSU. If he were a true "bargain hire," you wouldn't need to prop him up w/ the highest paid assistants in the country.

LSU can stop the run, which is why they will beat State.

What is he, 21 and 6 at LSU now ? I’d say that if you truly understood the deficits LSU had on the roster, especially in 2017, that’s pretty damn good. Particularly with over half the fan base working against him and every other fan base reducing him to a caricature. He obviously has a vision and is able to persuade others around him. In an era where there are maybe half a dozen GREAT coaches, I’d say he’s holding his own. Time to start giving the man the dues he has earned.

Anyone who paid attention during the Miles years knows that Ed has made a MAJOR improvement in clock management. It's almost as if it doesn't even enter an LSU fans mind anymore!

If Herman had come in and had 4 top 10 wins he’d be getting national CoTY consideration and the nat media would be STTDB
