Is it fair that the Texas Aggies get to play South Carolina every year?

South Carolina has never won a game vs the Texas Aggies and probably never will.
I know that LSU fans are continually arguing that it is unfair that they are forced to face Florida every year while other SEC West teams get teams like Vandy, Kentucky and South Carolina.
This year we face 2 out of the 3, admittedly Kentucky was a tougher game this year than expected

It’s going to be really quiet when you can’t post anymore

I’d be down for switching cross div rivals to Vandy. Same football program as S. Carolina but much better city with stuff to do

No. All that talk is stupid. Competitors want to play the best teams/players year in and year out. A&M can have their easy win every year. I look forward to the UF/LSU game as do alot of other LSU/UF fans. Recruits are all over it as well. Let me ask you..If you were a recruit and wanted to go watch a game, would you go see UF/LSU or Aggies/Cocks?

I've never understood why y'all call yourselves that. Why leave off the A&M part?

This topic is a nice lead in to USC's program. Texas A&M really shows exactly WHY the Gamecocks continue to flounder. Only time will tell if it was a good decision, but aTm demonstrated the willing to open up the checkbook and offer ridiculous money for what is considered one of the top active coaches in the nation. They have clearly demonstrated that they want to win in the SEC and they want to win now! As long as USC continues with retreads or washed up old timers they will continue to wallow in mediocrity.
Sometimes I think the Gamecocks are just simply happy to be in the SEC. At some point beating your chest and shouting SEC SEC just isn't good enough. When every program now has these lavish facilities to swoon athletes then everything reverts back to your school and location having to stand on what it is.....
As devoted and committed as the USC fan base has been over the decades, they need to become more intolerant to the status quo and stop expecting to lose.
Of course, as a Clemson fan I am happy with USC maintaining the status quo, but I am try to offer a fair thought.

REC and the SEC office in Birmingham doing good work. I hear that making Georgia LSU’s permenant east opponent instead of Florida is on the next meeting agenda....

Well the SEC tries to match as close as possible relative same strength teams in their cross division rivalry search. With a backdrop of traditional rivalry context. In other words they want AU and UGA to get it on. Given the old rivalry. UA and UT is a must and both schools and their fans demand the game. When the SEC expanded UF and LSU was a natural. And on down the line. All the way to Ole Miss-Vandy and MSU-UK who were both "dogs" as far as football is concerned. SC and AG's are sorta middlin' right now so that is an attractive match like a 7.5 HS girl and her prom date who is a nice boy but not the QB either.

It's definitely not fair to South Carolina fans that they have to put up with Aggies every year, but they're not alone in that.
