This is the simple minded thinking I'm trying to point out here. Everyone knew huh? On Friday there was an argument for us to be in the top 4. Ofcourse that's changed now as the narrative can after every weekend for better or worse, that's college football. Did you see the preseason prediction thread? There's not a single LSU record that says National Championship. It's not outlandish to be optimistic after winning two games that "everyone knew" we couldn't win. We win next weekend and we're still in it. But everyone knows thats not going to happen.

When LSU beat us it reminded me of how excited Clemson fans were to beat us in 2012. The problem with Auburn is sometimes beating us is a good win and sometimes beating us is just a helmet sticker win.

Not to rain on your paranoia parade, but shouldn't you be preening or something? An Auburn loss was less significant because, well, they already had a loss. LSU was undefeated. Trust me, a month from now, y'll won't be getting special attention for losing again. And again.

LSU folks were proclaiming they would be ranked #1 when the first CFP committee poll came out.

What's your point? If we were undefeated by October 30 we more than likely would be. But we're not and won't.
