I've gotten three done so far. It's annoyingly granular, but here's the data for Alabama, Auburn, and LSU:
(Technically I started alphabetically and did Arkansas second, but that one was depressing so I skipped around a little)

Rankings vs FBS Teams:
Total Defense / Avg Ranking Total Off (for opponents)
Alabama #16 / 55.8
Auburn #23 / 59.25
LSU #36 / 54.5

Scoring Defense / Avg Scoring Off
Alabama #2 / 76.6
Auburn #4 / 70.25
LSU #16 / 39.25

A few tidbits so far:
The SEC presently has 5 teams in the top 10 and 8 in the top 20 in scoring defense vs FBS teams.
#2 Alabama
#3 Kentucky
#4 Auburn
#9 Miss State
#10 Florida
#12 UGA
#16 LSU
#19 Vandy

LSU's average total offense vs average scoring offense gets a huge discrepancy thanks to two teams in particular:
Miami ranks #56 in Total Off, but #16 in Scoring Off
Auburn ranks #96 in Total Off, but #54 in Scoring Off
* This could be because of shorter fields, defensive/special team scoring, etc. CFBStats is a good resource, but all sources of points are thrown in, including safeties.

I did look at all Total and Scoring Def ranks for the SEC. Arkansas is 35th in the country in Total Def, but 91st in Scoring Def. I know the AU Game played a huge part in that.

Ole Miss ranks #112 in Total Def and 109th in Scoring Def.

Kentucky ranks #4 and #3, respectively.
South Carolina is on the other end as Auburn - they give up less yards (#24) than you would think considering the points given up (#44)

Vandy does the best job, in relation to yards, at tightening up in the red zone (#48 in Total D vs #19 in Scoring D)

Rank the strength of schedules.. That's what matters. Anyone can look good playing high school teams.

Miami is scoring a lot of non offensive touchdowns. Here is a good stat. Offensive points per game
LINK. Miami is down at 40th at 31 offensive ppg, and Auburn is at 81st with 23.8 (man I bet they are so glad they locked in offensive guru Gus with that huge extension).

it gets boring looking at our own stats. You can only look at the number 1 so often before you want to see how the mortals are doing

They were tired from playing a real schedule unlike you guys so I give them a pass vs La Tech. As soon as we needed to put them away we did....what you saw last week is what you should expect more of.

this doesn't make sense. the rant has promised me that auburn is overrated and therefore lsu sucks. the stats must be lying

Based on the 3 so far?

LSU's defense, yardage wise, isn't better than Alabama's or Auburn's, but has done a good job at preventing points in comparison to offensive points. They also do a really good job at nullifying defensive scoring, playing pretty mistake-free offensive football. Those two things work out well for LSU, IMHO. Alabama presently has 5 NOTs; LSU's ability to prevent NOTs will play a big role when they play.

It should be a closer game than people are giving it credit for. Everyone is pointing to LSU D vs Bama O, but I think the other side - Bama's D vs LSU's O - will be a more intriguing match-up. If Borrow continues to improve, it will ultimately depend on his WRs getting separation and catching in traffic. Based on what LSU fans have told me, the weakness in the passing game has been more on the WRs than on the QB. If that's wrong, my apologies.

We were up 24 at half and won by 24

24-0

That’s “in danger of losing?”

struggling against a terrible team early and leaving your 1s in the entire game on both offense and defense to try and make it look better?

Auburn's defense is legit, there's no doubt about that. AU's woes are almost entirely on their offense, or more specifically their OL. Stidham isn't mobile enough to overcome that limitation, and RBs are taking hits in the backfield more than they should.

there's more going on than that. lsu's o line has been shuffled a lot due to injury. in the slu game and the la tech game, lsu stayed in pass protection much of the time and only sent 2 or 3 receivers vs 5-7 db's. i broke this down in a few threads. that meant the receivers were having trouble getting open yet, burrow was still completing plenty of 10+ yard passes. against auburn, when lsu did send more than 2 receivers, burrow completed quite a few 10+ yard passes and the receivers had a much easier time getting open.

burrow has been effective at passing over 10 yards, has been spreading it around to lots of different guys and has been throwing very accurately into tight windows. just look at the auburn game. he was putting the ball where the refs had to call pi. those long passes were on the money every time. it's an aspect that gets overlooked in the pi hooplah. in contrast, auburn fans wanted pi on greedy but stidham didn't throw an accurate pass and the refs let it go.

there were some drops early but they've decreased. watch the ole miss game. griese commented several times that lsu's receivers were making the catches while ole miss' 1st rounders weren't.

lsu is due for a clunker; mistakes/bad luck. there haven't been any int's. i don't know if it will happen but it's most likely to happen on the road. otherwise, defenses are going to have a hard time dealing with all of lsu's options on offense. burrow has proven he's making really good decisions. helaire is emerging as a legit back which i called before the season even started. super tough to bring down
