I would hire Les, he would at least keep it going and win one or two more.

I'm guessing Sexton will be pulling all the strings for the next Bama hire.
A lot of coaches will be getting nice extensions and raises to stay put.

You're guessing wrong. Sexton isn't Dabo's agent. Dabo's agent is Russ Campbell based in Birmingham (you already know where he graduated law school and who was in school there at the same time).
If Dabo decides not to make $10M+ to coach at his dream job in favor of staying at a program he's built from ashes, then Bama may ultimately hire a Sexton client, but Sexton will be negotiating with Greg Byrne, who isn't going to be a push over.

I guarantee Sexton will be in play.
Byrne hired Rodriguez.
Just like I don't want Alleva anywhere near another football hire, good luck with Byrne.

Sexton isn't Dabo's agent. The conversations will start with Russ Campbell regarding Dabo's interest, and they will remain their until he either accepts the job (Sexton not involved) or turns the job down (then Sexton is involved).

Mark Ingram isn't a Superstar, but he has been a consistent starter.
Trent Richardson was probably a bust, but he still saw the field a lot.
That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are several on defense.

Look at UF after Spurrier FSU right after Bowden No matter how much money the Gumps throw around no one wants to follow a legend. Dabo ain't coming!

Spurrier's last year wsa 2001. UF won a national title 5 years later in 2006, and again in 2008. It wasn't that no one wanted that job, it's that Florida made a bad hire.

Bowden's last year was 2009. FSU went straight to Jimbo and they won a national title in 2014 (5 years later).
You may want to look for better examples, pal. Hell, if Les Miles can follow Nick Saban and not eff it up until Saban emasculates him in his own state in a championship game, I'm sure Bama will be able to hire someone to continue winning at a very high level given a stocked roster, unlimited resources, and a willingness to pay the right HC more $ than anyone else will.

Bama after Emmert is going to be their problem. They wouldn't know what to do if the NCAA popped up and brought sanctions for their little random coaches giving players money and they got something like Ole Miss for it.
Wow.

Seems like it’ll be Dabo. That said, I think it’ll be 5-8 years before Saban leaves barring some controversy.
Who knows who the flavor of the month will be in that time...likely someone not even on the radar now.
The most Saban-like coach in the SEC right now is Dave Aranda IMO. If he gets a HC job in that period time and succeeds, he’d have to be in the conversation.

Dubose was hired over 20 years ago and was an assistant who was promoted due to fan support. Bama won't make that same mistake again, especially given the state of the program at that time vs state of program today. (Nevermind that fact that DuBose did manage to win an SEC title).
Price was hired as a conference championship winning coach. He wasn't a bad football hire. He was a bad human hire.
Shula was hired in May. When you fire a coach in May, your choices for replacement are somewhat impacted.
ALL that said, you know damn well Bama is in a much better position to hire in the mid 2020s than they were in the mid/late 1990s. But keep telling yourself whatever you have to in order to feel better about it as an L7U fan.
