No More Rat Poison

A friend inside the program told me Miss Terry was upset with Saban's increasingly hostile tone with the press before Nicks run-in with Maria Taylor. After Saban ripped Maria Taylor and threatened the press in the post-game presser Miss Terry went on the warpath and bitch slapped Nick. She made him call Maria and apologize before they left the stadium in Orlando and went off on him the minute he left the postgame presser.

Miss Terry's tirade over Saban's rude treatment of the press continued throughout that weekend and Saban agreed he'd become too bellicose with the press.

Since Saban returned from the Louisville game he has noticeably changed his tone with the press - including his sideline interviews during games. He's been noticeably polite and courteous even when the question was one he didn't like. He's slowed down his responses, lowered his voice and thoughtfully answered questions in a "nice" respectful manner - especially in the sideline interviews during games but also in his weekly press briefings and Q&A after practices. It's wierd. You can tell it goes against his nature and doesn't fit his fiery personality but he finally realized he can't continue to berate the press and maintain a good reputation.
