@MSU
LSU

Where does everyone think we'll shake out?

Could find ourselves in the top 10 with 2 wins

I think there is a good chance we could win both or at least one of them....LSU in the Swamp.

Have good chance no matter what others tell you, to beat dawgs. Lets let play out. Surprises in store.

Vegas has us -9 at State.

Still not sure on that. Kentucky won the line. We don't have as strong of a line especially on offense. Plus it's at State vs their former coach. A lot of extra motivation especially after an embarrassing loss.

I say 38 percent chance of State win
40 percent chance of LSU win. Just don't think we can run on either of them.

We have to spy Fitz for sure. All game. Every play. Make him pass the ball.

If Florida can stop the run and avoid big mistakes they’ll have a chance in every game.

MSU looked softer than I expected. I think they can pull it off.

LSU I just don’t know.

I’m hoping uf is 5-2 heading to Jax.

I have no idea what to make of LSU, other than their team is full of talent everywhere.

This game is bigger than the Egg Bowl for MSU this season. It may be important to Mullen, but it hardly makes a blip in the radar for everyone else. It will be tough.
I have t watched LSU much, but I think we have w better chance against them and should win if we play a clean game. I know, easier said than done.

Our biggest weapon vs MSU is our staff. They know every player on that field, probably better than our own team.

They know every flaw Fitz has. Every weak part of their line. Who can't handle Cleveland one on one for a deep ball

That is our big advantage. Morehead knows LESS about his players than our staff most likely, cause they coached them far longer.

Still. We will see how Jefferson and Reese(and Dean) improve our run defense. Hopefully enough to win it

I think it's likelier that we lose both than that we win both. Still not sold on our run defense/front 7.

I have a bad, bad feeling about State. When I looked at the schedule before the season to kinda gauge my expectations, my first thought there was "we might get shut out". That DL is quite likely to whip our guys' asses.

Haven't watched a second of LSU this season, but it's good news that Burreaux isn't lighting the world on fire.

My opinion is that Cowbell State has some good athletes on defense but not much on offense ...ditto LSU. Not worried about our defense...but our offense has to produce enough to keep crowd from ringing those damn bells all night.

Franks needs a run game ..as do all QBs, to draw safeties in some and to make play fakes work. A split hesitation on fake handoffs by a safety can mean six. Can we run on them? Remember the old axiom...the winning team almost always has the most run yardage....that never changes no matter who you play.

Our defense can stop their run game...we have a much better defense than most realize. Campbell, Slaton, Conliffe, Dunlap, Jefferson, Polite, Zuniga, Clark, the transfer from WV, Zach Carter, Moon, Reese, Joseph, R. Jackson, Houston, K. Johnson etc etc are a formible group and possess speed for their sizes and good recognition skills.

This makes me think it might be a low scoring affair since both offenses may struggle...but I put my money on our passing skills and WRs able to make big plays. The special teams has been vastly upgraded since last year. Our FG kicking is better and Townsend can boom punts and flip fields for us.

The advantages we have is somewhat negated by home field and the emotional level of the team we will face. This is something can be hard to predict. Either team wants to have 2 SEC losses and backs are to the wall. State just lost a game and will be angry. We will have to punch them in the face to win.

I am quietly optimistic about both games, which means I believe we can win but not running around guaranteeing a victory, especially since I live in MS. Stopping the run, limiting turnovers, limiting big plays are the key to winning the next 2 games.

That can work in our favor though. If there is anyone who will know how to game-plan for their playmakers, it's Mullen.

I’ll be happy with 1 out of 2.

I think we have a better shot against MSU than LSU.

Jorts I disagree...we have better chance to beat LSU (in fact Im almost sure we will!!) than Cowbell St. But we could win both...just have to let it play out. No turnovers this Saturday may seal it...we aren't getting many snaps on offense and Mullen likes it like that (as long as we don't turn it over)...he wants the defense to force errors and give us the short field.

We will throw deep at times off play action and pound them if we can. You cant give up on the run if you don't succeed at first. Gotta "soften em up". I did notice Simmons their best DL was getting spelled a lot..does he tired quickly from double teams? Trust me...he needs to be doubled team a lot.
