At the risk of being overly critical did anyone else think storey underthrew some balls?

Dont get me wrong for game 1 I dont think he did a bad job, and made quite a few nice plays but to me there were 3 or 4 balls, specifically the first deep ball to pettway where he threw it running forward without setting his feet, that he seemed to float out there and ended up being behind the receivers. I'm worried that if he makes the same throws in the sec it will be picked. Did anyone else see this or am I being too pessimistic?

I saw a few but honestly it's been so long since I had actually seen a completed deep ball, I didn't care. Some of it could be attributed to he knew how much room he had and decided to be safe with it. He wasn't exactly having to fit them in tight windows. In that situation it's better to be safe than risk being perfect and overthrowing. Do I think that's what happened? Not really, but it very well could be. Could also be that he's just not used to the speed of his receiving core yet. Could be that he's just not that accurate downfield. I don't care as long as they get caught like they did Saturday.

after watching, and rewatching… yes there were a few.. Two of them were with him scrambling a bit and off balanced in throwing. He made them happen because of pressure.

He isn't mallet, both the good and bad.. Yet he isn't jones, both the good and bad.

I am not sure who I compare him to as of yet in a Razorback Uniform.

If he can continue to develop some consistency then look out. If not.. look the other way

no you're crazy. he was perfectly accurate on every throw. every incompletion was basically a drop.

It would be nice to have Storey's mind and athleticism to go with Cole's arm. That would be a pretty impressive QB I think.

All QBs underthrow balls....all QBs overthrow ball.

Lets wait and get a larger sample size before we determine if there is a problem.

More reps should help.

Yes but after going back to look at the long throws. It wasn't nearly as bad as some made it out to be imo.

He looked so much more comfortable than Kelley did. Kelley looked confused some and forced some throws. Storey doesn’t have a cannon but he made several nice throws. That throw to Jones down the middle of the field was a laser.

At this point I don't even care about arm strength. He was clearly the best QB on the field vs EI. I underestimated him big time prior to this season but Saturday changed my mind.

He always had potential. It also helps that Kelley is really not that good.

It seems he struggles with processing information before and after the snap.

That being said, Ty could look like total shite in the next 2 games and CK could look like a world beater.

Them offering might have also been a bad thing with their recent track record with QBs.

If you just looked at the stats, 9/12 really isn’t too bad for Kelley. But it looked like he was just floating his passes for some reason and wasn’t very quick with his decisions. Storey had a throw I think to Pettway on the sideline with zip I haven’t seen from an Arkansas QB in a while. Just looked better coming out of his hand.

Do I sense some.... sarcasm?

One of his first throws was shades of last year.
He doesn't have a cannon, that's for sure.
But complete a high enough percentage for enough yards and TD's and I don't care.

Disagree. LSU hasn't been able to find a good QB in several years. Can't evaluate for shite.

storey looked fine running the offense. kelly didnt have a sense of tempo at all. he looked like he was running the huddle and saunter offense of yore.

storey still needs to go faster. also I believe there is some work to be done on getting into the right run pass or option on each play.

spread offense is about everyone doing their one thing well. allows for more piece players and full utilization of talent. but for it to work you need to be consistently in the right play and position.

I hope we solidify around storey this week and end the
