so its wild to be talking about 2021 kids but 247 just released its first rankings for that cycle. here is how the SEC states look. i know some of these kids arent exactly 100% from the cities that i put, but unless they were legitimately not near a major city, i just put the closest major population center just so people who arent from these states can have a better of where they are from

Alabama has already offered McKinstry and Kennan. Waiting to evaluate Goodwin more.

60% of these will be 3 stars by graduation
What a worthless list
What a worthless list

This has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime. I mean it's actually lulz worthy.
There might be one in a half a million kids who you can tell are going to be very good their Sophomore HS season ... but even then there is no way of knowing if they will be Top 100 material down the road once their balls drop and they start growing peach fuzz.
But I get it, it's all about subscriptions and sales and the early signing period has really mucked-up the premium subscriber model.

Probably not possible. Similar to “locking down” Georgia

It’s been done before. I mean, that’s how they went on that run.

They got a lot of players from all over during their runs

There will be at least one or two DLinemen that'll pop-up in the Top 100 or so from South Carolina in a year or two. There always are. They just haven't hit their growing spurts yet.

Not a better a metro area in the country for HS talent and you got Tampa about 275 miles up the road.

In their 80's run it was pretty much Miami,Fort Lauderdale with some from Tampa except for QB's...they were a little more spread out in those early 2000 teams.

Obviously
Houston and Atlanta are up there as well and all 3 have
passed Los Angeles.
Top 5 metro areas would probably be
Miami,Houston,Atlanta,Dallas and Tampa (IMG obviously helps their numbers)

quote:the LA area has 5 players on this list. it also has like 10 kids with 90+ 247 grades for next year. LA is still a fricking loaded metro area and absolutely still in the elite tier
all 3 have
passed Los Angeles.

Counted 4 and 0 in the top 50...Los Angeles is still somewhat elite but for its size it should be pumping out many more blue chips.

Counted 4
jake garcia
beaux collins
anthony beeavers
cristian dixon
and just because they are out of the top 50 right now, even though mcgee is #51 and garcia is #54 and collins is #59, doesnt mean they wont end up there or the fact that more than 5 players will end up with a 90+ grade
the LA area is loaded for this cycle and 2020. early on it may look a little relatively light for 2021, but i wouldnt be too worried about where it will end up
its absolutely still one of the unquestioned major recruiting centers in the country
