Auburn is definitely gonna be up there with Bama. Gonna be two fun teams in state this year.

The change in offense alone will improve the defense. Elko has also made immediate improvements at WF & ND. Neither were loaded with talent so it’s not stretch to expect improvements right away there either.

There wont be a nickle's worth of difference between State, Bama, Auburn, or Georgia's D.
Then there will be a sizable gap- with LSU 5th
Then 6-14 is what it is. Bur year- OM at 14 is a given. They will be SWAC level on D

State's defense was curb stomped by basically every decent offense they played last season.

Only curb stomped by Auburn and UGA really. I’d hardly call the Bama game a curb stomping.

We averaged more YPP than almost any game last season. We scored on as many or more possessions than we did against any other decent team. Our running backs averaged almost 7 YPC. It's the only game vs a decent team all year where Jalen had explosive passing numbers.
The only reason we didn't have 600 yards is we only ran like 55 plays because Mullen slowed the game to a halt.
You guys will have a good team but you are setting yourselves up for heartache if you keep talking about yourselves like this. You are taking results vs Chalreston Southern and Kentucky and acting like you can extraploate them out against Alabama and Auburn.

A good chunk of those yards came on 2 plays.

LSU won’t be great but our defense will be elite.
Love seeing us being doubted on that side of the ball.
