Happy birthday Rickwood

The Friends of Rickwood has done a great job of period restoration with the park, which had, at one point, fallen into terrible disrepair.

I played a softball game at Rickwood once. It was pretty cool thinking about all the legends that played there back in the day.

Rickwood was ceded the title when Comiskey park was bulldozed for progress.

I suppose Rickwood will face the same fate. I've heard its in one of the nicer areas of Birmingham, so property values and projected resale developments must high and eager !

How's Legion Field holding up ?

I love that old place, but it is one hot arse dungeon in the summer when they hold the classic.
