Serious question. How does a mascot named after a football defensive gesture relate to the other sports at the school?

The living embodiment of everything Ole Miss Marshall Henderson did it too, so it seems fitting.

If someone came to the Ole Miss opener as a confederate shark I might die.

Wow. Damn. I though maybe he died in combat. I get the gut served in the military but that's an awful thing right there. Not really something you'd want to honor or have kids look up too. Is there more to the Fein story? Cause right now it's really underwhelming.

i do think the guy may have suffered with some ptsd, not sure, but that may have played a factor. either way, its a bit too dark to have as a mascot essentially for children

It's a legit question. Is there more to his story?

Yes it is too dark indeed. With the opioid crisis being a thing not sure it is a good idea to idolize a guy that ODed.

In all fairness Henry Jr is the one that brought Tony Fein into the discussion. Henry just forgot a few details, full disclosure and all that,,,

He was a pill abuser before he ever went into the military. The ptsd excuse is BS and is a slap in the face of actual victims. He was known as the happiest party animal on the IM team. Never showed signs of PTSD. He liked to drink and get fricked up. It caught up to him. End of story. Rock On OM!

Yeah. Kind of why I posed the question. He was leaving a lot of stuff out.

To be fair the mascot looks like a shark who just ripped a whole lot of baggies. So they did a good job honoring him
I’m a veteran I can say that
