All other major conferences at best were two team conferences.
i.e.
Nebraska/Oklahoma
Michigan/Ohio State
SEC has had several programs win conference championships and National Championships.
Y’all can run with that.

Ha!
I was hoping someone would take the other side of the argument.
Non SEC fans have done so before.

To expound
Ivy by far was the best to start
Then BIG 10 by far when Minny was wrecking shite with Michigan and OSU also being top dogs
And then the SEC

It really doesnt need explaining. The OP is dead wrong to anyone with a brain and basic understanding of college football history

Yeh there are individual years where each conf has had its claim to #1, but I think saying IVY------>"Big 10"------->SEC is the order of deepest/best conf

So you brought up the Ivy League and a 3 team conference.
That’s a strong argument.

How many years ago was this Ivy League the best?
I’m asking because I have no knowledge of college football history.

Dude the IVY league had 5 seperate teams win national titles in a 40 year stretch
They had a 31 year stretch where no other teams won a title besides IVY league teams
I am sorry you look dumb
The big 10 had a 10 year stretch where they won 7 national titles, with 3 separate programs winning won (OSU, MICH, Minny)
In that stretch, they had 7 different teams finished ranked in the top 10 (OSU, MICH, Minny, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern and purdue) Their claim to the deepest conference ran supreme from about 1930 to sometime in the late 50s to mid 60s, possibly longer
