The LSU vs. USC 2003 debate illustrates what I'm talking about. LSU was FAR MORE TALENTED than USC. Many USC players were way overhyped and subsequently underperformed in the NFL, whereas many LSU players were underhyped and exceeded expectations.

The SWC was deeper. Six teams won the conference championship in the 1980s.

You said the BIG was deeper which isn't even close to being true in the 80's or the 70's

Let me look at the 60's since you were dead wrong about
70's and 80's

Dude...

There was always a voting bias.

There was always a lack of competition in the other major conferences.

i.e.

Michigan....
To this day they are the “winningest” program in the history of college football.

(Apparently except for the Ivy League)

They also have around 95 National Championships.

Yet, they have never played in a National Championship game.

No in fact the SEC has been way down the last 4 or 5 years. Take out Alabama and we havnt been the top league. Also a few years in the late 90s abd estly 2000s the SEC was down. We normally ended up with the best teams but at times the bottom half is garbage

Georgia was good early in the decade because of a single player

Go ahead and look what UGA did in '83 (year after HW left) and get back to me.

There several great players and AA's on those teams.

Yes Big 10 has been very good.
Let’s see how long they can keep it up.

Still looks like Only one team can win the National Championship out of that league.

Michigan and Penn State need to catch up in team speed.

OSU figured that out after we kicked their arse in the National Championship game.

Also, you are being a huge c.u.n.t

I clearly stated on the front page I thought the big 10s dominance stopped sometime around the 60s

Later on, I was just trting to convey the SEC wasnt dominate in the 80s and 90s. I just mis typed there

Here is my 1st page post

quote:

The big 10 had a 10 year stretch where they won 7 national titles, with 3 separate programs winning won (OSU, MICH, Minny) In that stretch, they had 7 different teams finished ranked in the top 10 (OSU, MICH, Minny, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern and purdue) Their claim to the deepest conference ran supreme from about 1930 to sometime in the late 50s to mid 60s

It's true, it's true. The SEC has 6 charter members that are top 15 all-time programs.

Big 8: 2
Big 10: 2
Pac 12: 1
SWC: 1

I get it now....No I don't actually. At first I thought it was an embarrass Missouri thread. No one else would have disagreed. Turns out no agrees on this. But yes, the SEC has the greatest collection of football powerhouse programs...ever.

^^^^^

Well I agree with this.

Stupid arse thread anyway.

Cause I called you out on your bullshite AND THEN YOU GO BACK TO EDIT AND PRETEND THAT YOU NEVER SAID IT?I'm the count?

Are you that big of a pussy?

BTW here ya go

70s, and 80s the big 10 was a deeper league

...saved it for ya and you did include the '50's and 60's but I cut it off before then because I wanted to further call you out after doing more research.

On the 60's:AP

Top 10 finishes: SEC 23/BIG 20

Number of different teams:SEC 7/BIG 7

NC's:SEC 3/BIG 2

At best it can be called a draw as far as who was the "deeper conference"

Do a little research before you go pulling statements out of yer arse and why are you homing so much for the BIG anyway?

Also...
BCS year to date.

20 Championship games.

SEC has won 11 with 5 different teams.

Big 10 has won 2 with 1 team.

Right now, if I had to rank the P5 conferences.
1) SEC
2) Big 10
3) ACC
4) PAC 10
5) Big 12

* Big 10 and ACC could flip
flip flop
* Big 12 says they are better than the SEC Lmao

Incorrect

MINNY 3X
IOWA 1X
OSU 5X
MICH ST 3X
WISKY 1X
ILLINOIS 1X
MICH 2X

SEC had 6

OM 5X
BAMA 8X
LSU 5X
AU 1X
TENN 2X
UGA 2X

NC's:SEC 3/BIG 2
Also incorrect

Big 10 had 5 national titles with 3 separate teams

Sec had 4 with 2 separate teams

You should do the research you dumbass

Hard to argue with that.

The Big 10 is very good, for real now.

2 of the 3 "number conferences" are unable to count. Let's at least give the Pac 12 credit for that much.
