Wrong, they've invested just as much or more than anyone in the SEC. Their baseball facilities are very nice, which would represent the majority of funds invested.

Turns out you’re right, but they’re turning a higher profit than any other team, so I suppose the expense angle is moot.
I didn’t realize how lame college baseball was until I just read this article from The Advocate...
Yikes.
I don’t ever want to see another college baseball brag thread started on this board.
For every baseball thread that gets started, I’m going to start a thread about wheelchair basketball - which no doubt loses less money and probably has as many fans worldwide as college baseball.

College baseball is a losing sport, even in the part of the country where it thrives. In fact, just four Southeastern Conference baseball teams turned a profit last season, according to documents obtained by The Advocate from league schools.
The figures are much gloomier beyond the Southeast.
The NCAA estimates that less than 10 percent of baseball programs nationally turn a profit, said Ron Prettyman, managing director of championships and alliances who oversees baseball. The number is probably closer to 5 percent, Prettyman said.
Yikes.

Yo Einstein .. at most schools .. football, men's and (maybe) women's basketball are the ONLY sports that bring in more than they spend. Without donations, and licensing, few schools would have ANY sports.

That’s kinda my point, pal. Don’t bring that baseball bullshite to this football board. Might as well be discussing badminton.

Then go discuss badminton in a badminton thread. This is clearly a baseball thread that you went out of your way to post in.
SOUNDS LIKE YOU ENJOY COLLEGE BASEBALL TALK SIR

What is truly entertaining is comparing this list with State’s coaching search threads.

Living in a pro city and state, I kinda thought in the same lines as you. Actually watching some college ball this past season, it's entertaining and the level of play was better than I expected for the most part. It will never overtake football or basketball, but it should and is considered one of the big 3 college sports.

Thought this board was the SEC Rant... not the SEC Football Rant. But it does seem that it's actually the SEC Bama's Dickriding Rant at times.
But it truly sounds like you hate college baseball because you were never picked off the bench.

How many professional wheelchair basketball players do you know? Yet I bet you've heard of Dallas Keuchel, Mitch Moreland, Alex Bregman, Josh Donaldson, Chase Headley, Justin Smoak and David Price.
All came from the SEC. If not, you just don't like baseball period.
