6-2 205 WR out of Memphis chose Carolina over offers from FSU, Georgia, Louisville, Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri and Cincinnati.
Mullins is ranked by Rivals as the No.188 overall prospect in the class and the No. 5 prospect in Tennessee.

Boom and Hilinski doing work.

I'm beginning to believe Hilinski is a better recruiter than Boom!

Stacking up on the offense.

6-2 205 with room to go 215-220 easy, 4.5 speed and a 38" vertical, already benching 300. Known for being quick and shifty with the ball in his hands ... punishes tacklers.
Gotta love his film.
Reads as if he's a bigger version of Deebo.
Getting this kid is exciting to me because he's not your prototypical WR. He's more like a big running back who has great hands and runs great routes but instead of handing-off the ball to him your getting the ball to him downfield, in space.
Plus I see where he loves to return KOs.
I'm really happy that he chose us ... he'll be special here. Just got a good feeling about this kid.

Mark my words, this kid will end up on defense

We're stacked on defense next yr and for the foreseeable future beyond that. I highly doubt he ends up on defense.

Then I doubt he will have a very productive career. Or at least not his most productive. Kid refuses to play defense but I don’t think he has the ball skills to play offense at the SEC level

No offense intended, but I think I'll trust Bobby Bentley's eval. And that these other schools knew what they were doing by recruiting him as a WR:
Georgia
Florida State
Louisville
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Missouri
Arkansas
Oklahoma

Looks like a really good pickup!

I can’t speak for the other schools but ole miss was recruiting him strictly for defense which is why we never had a shot with him

We'll see. If that turns out to be the case I'm sure Boom and T-Rob will find a place on defense somewhere for him.

Good pick up. We offered him, but we tried to sell him on moving to LB or Safety, he didn't like that at all.

That may be true ... but we've got a history, I dunno why necessarily, of taking kids like this and turning them into offensive weapons.
It really started under SPURrier (Pharoah Cooper, Bruce Ellington, et al) but B-Mac and Boom have seemed to want to carry-on the tradition.
Someone mentioned something about his ball skills but damn, looking at his film I just don't see him lacking in any ball skills.
Still, if he ends up in the secondary the way he likes contact ... I could see it happening and we can never have too many kids his size with his footwork and speed and vertical playing centerfield. I forget what we are calling our Spur these days, whatever it is that we had Jam Williams playing last year - yeah, I could see him ending-up there.
Just glad he committed to us and hope he signs on signing day.
Hillinski sure seems to like him as a WR though.
Hopefully Jammie Robinson is on deck and close to pulling the trigger.

Really like the class y’all have committed right now. Some really talented kids especially on the line and Hilinski looks like the real deal.

We ain't flipping him, we aren't going hard after too many Tennessee prospects this year.
The ones we want most are 2 D linemen, 1 O linemen, a WR, and Kane Patterson(we would take Woodi Washington or Hampton, but I think both are headed to Ohio State and LSU, respectively). We are targeting Memphis and Nashville hard in 2020.

If he had committed to you guys, you would be on here telling us about what a GREAT receiver he was. Sour grapes with fans that lose out on a kid never ceases to amaze me !

If he were committed to us, it would be as a LB/S

If he wanted to go to MSU as a WR, he would have went to MSU as a WR

HUUUUUGE GET! Saw him workout this past year and dayum y’all are getting a great one! Memphis is loaded with talent and most are all very close friends. If I were boom I’d work the hell out of Memphis this year and next
