Nick Chubb (before the injury) was the best SEC RB I saw the last decade.

Most impressive is that he was just an eighteen year old freshman and sophomore before he got hurt. This dude would own all the records if not for the injury and would've won the Heisman as well.
This isn't to take away from Fournette or Henry because those two were absolutely dominant players and physical freaks who can make the claim of being best over that period. Their accomplishments speak for themselves.
There were also some other grown arse men that have a claim nationally like Elliot and the PSU guy from last year but the vision Chubb ran with as a youngster and the sheer power to shrug off linebackers was a joy to watch as a football fan and I have never cared too much for Georgia.
This is obviously just my opinion and should be fun to discuss and I would love to have seen Nick Chubb the rest of year two and a junior season without the injury. He was still a beast after recovery but not quite the unstoppable force he was before.

Meh, the only defense worth two shits in the SEC East during his tenure was Florida.
And that game is at a neutral site every year.

Nick at least could break 100 against Alabama in 2015

Hell of a 80+ yard run when already down 38-3.
Thanks for playing, though.

I think I agree. Chubb was a man among boys when it came to SEC backs.

Remove that run....
Still more than double LF7's total

Another way to look at Chubb vs Alabama in 2015... take Fournette's yardage against that same defense and add 115.
Oh and of Fournette's 31 (total) yards, 18 came on a rush when Alabama was up 3 scores in the 4th.

That '15 season beofre he got hurt he was a damn man possessed.
91 carries for 745 yards (8.2 YPC!) and 7 touchdowns. That's against 3 SEC teams as well.
Reminds me of robert edwards in 1995 who was equally possessed before shattering his foot in knoxville ending his season.

Fournette was leading Chubb in basically every category before Chubb got hurt in '15. More of a receiving threat as well.

Fournette is better than Chubb

Some numbers to assist in the discussion (Copy and pasted from the other thread).
Chubb, from the Missouri game in 2014 to the end of 2014, averaged 188.1 Yards from Scrimmage. The highest among all RBs in the SEC in that span.
Continuing on from that Missouri game in 2014 and up until the Tennessee game where he was injured in 2015, he averaged 175.5 Yards from Scrimmage. Again, the highest in the SEC in that span as well.
I believe the Mizzou game was chosen (another poster asked me for these numbers) because that is the first game played after Gurley's suspension was announced.

Chubb was special, but DM5 and Gurley were the best RBs I've seen in modern SEC. Gurley was special prior to being injured as well and looks to have regained form after the injuries.
Chubb reminded me of Cadillac Williams with better balance. His power was impressive, but the balance was his best attribute.
Gurley and DM5 were both huge fast guys that put their teams on their backs.

I have no interest in relitigating a case I’ve already won.
Regarding Chubb,
As a UGA fan who watched every play I think Gurley was better. Gurley’s sixth sense and ability to run in slow motion in his mind was mind boggling. Some of his runs were like watching the David Copperfield show at the MGM Grand.
If hadn’t been suspended for autographs then tearing his ACL, then leaving after junior year, he’d have the records.
Chubb’s freshman numbers were impressive but alot of those were in a relief role behind Gurley.

Dyer and Lattimore both fit in your 10 year window.

If that were the case I would have chosen to dick ride Derrick Henry who will or should have a better NFL career but we never saw a Chubb in his junior year without an injury. Speaking of Georgia backs, Knowshon Moreno ran with an attitude. Like Tyrone Biggums as if a crack rock was waiting in the endzon.

Everything you are saying is fair. I always hate it when injuries reduce a players ability to perform their best.
Very much like Marcus Lattimore. Was fun to watch him when he was playing against other teams.
