Doesn't deserve it...had a grand toral of 3 TD's amd led the league and dropped passes.I get that Sark was partially responsible for the TD totals but he only had 6 in '16 with Shanahan. Get the ball in the damn end zone Julio

He's only had double digit touchdowns once in his career, only made it through an entire season twice, and 48th in catch percentage last season.
But damn if he can't get a lot of yards between the 20's.

I used to look at Julio as one of the good pro athletes out there. No drama, seemed to be a good team player.
He has done a 180.

Think Julio realizes this is his last big money contract. I’m torn, dude is a beast but he is aging and I could see an early retirement a la megatron.

He just signed a big contract 2 years ago. Shouldn’t have signed a 5 year deal if he wanted more money 2 years into it. I lost some respect for him today

Been hanging around the migos too much

and T.O.
It's a shame too, he could have been so good. Instead he will just flame out like so many others before him.

Right, people say "he will get his league leading money in 3 years"....
Well, not really. He'll be over 30 with probably diminished skills. I don't really blame him, but I've also stopped really caring about it. I'd be somewhat inclined to call his bluff if I were TD. My biggest concern is not giving him the money but setting the precedent that our defensive studs can do the same thing. If they do, then we'd really be fuked

How much more does he really want? He's already Top 5 highest paid WR. I wonder how much Jarvis Landry's contract with the Browns is playing into this holdout by Julio.

I'm close to 50/50 on letting him walk sadly. Love him as I'm also a Bama fan but I feel like the league has some REALLY good receivers and the difference between the top 5 WRs in the league and the next 10-15 isn't that big.

He just signed a new contract, top 5 paid WR in the league. He disappears in the RZ way too much to be doing this.

He disappears after every 1 or 2 plays. It really hurts the offense when he’s not out there. The D has to play us differently when he’s out there

Gonna be interesting to see fan reactions this year with him. He could do no wrong up until this situation.

for me, personally, as long as this stuff doesn't affect the team's ability to win, i don't really care and hope he gets paid. my only beef is the skipping practice stuff.
people like to ask the question about how this is any different than coaches getting contract extensions and getting more money (see Kirby Smart) after a year or two into a contract, and my response is that you don't ever see the coaches stop working during this process. they continue to do their job and let the contract stuff work itself out. i believe that the players should do the same.

depending on how much he wants, it might. We gotta pay Grady, Neal, and Debo next year

I think that when Julio starts declining, he's going to fall off a cliff quickly and I think it could happen within the next 2 years or so

Definitely agree. Kinda why I hope we don't give him an extension and he plays angry this year and we win it all. Then just let him walk whenever his contract is done.
Or he could just miss all season and that'd hurt I guess. I think this could be the reason we pay him a shite ton. But then we're in trouble next season with some big time Defensive players that'll be due big time cash too.

Some very tough decisions will need to be made over the next few years. I actually think Beasley is a candidate to not get an extension
