Ole Miss baseball. Did they get screwed?

I for one have no love for Ole Miss and yes Tenn Tech is a weapon hitting. I'm not sure how to figure out whether they got screwed.
On one hand, I think any honest Sec baseball fan would admit that this Ole Miss team had a shot to go all the way. They are deep everywhere and talented. They did beat Tenn Tech 9-8 first game, got crushed second game and then lost a very close game 3-2.
Now, the only thing I find fault in is the fact that no way Tenn Tech had the pitching to hold Ole Miss to 2 runs in the 3rd game. Ole Miss has far better pitching and their bats should have won game 3.!. Tenn Tech is more of a wrecking crew with the bats.
As a non spokesperson for OM, I think 2 things happened. The better team lost if you consider Ole Miss pitching in game 3. Their bats are nasty good when clicking but failed to score 3 runs.
I'm going to go ahead and say it, had they gotten past Tenn Tech they would have made a huge run. Too much talent not to. I'm not making excuses for OM but honestly, who wanted Tenn Tech in their regional?
If you recall, I joked about how Msu might be a 2 seed nobody wanted in their regional, I think Ole Miss deserved better but that's my opinion.

We about as tough of a draw as one can get with this regional, I believe we had the toughest RPI of all regions...either way we should have made it out

I think you got shafted by what we call a fighters chance. Lets see what they do in a super. It might tell the story.

I dont think we can be so certain Ole Miss was the better team.. TT lost game one by 1 run... Had to play an extra game and still held Ole Miss to 2 runs the last game. On the road in a hostile environment.
From everything I saw TT was in fact the better team.

Look at the 6 Sec teams who made a super regional. They all face each other. The Ncaa loves our money but secretly hates the conference because we are just better.

Losing at home in a regional sucks, but don't blame the seeding.
Assuming the black bears were a top 8 team (they were hosting), then they should be able to beat, at home, a top 16-64 team 2 times to advance.
It's baseball though, and the black bears happened to have a bad day at the wrong time.
Let's not take anything away from Tenn Tech though, they beat the crap out of the ball and made do with a random pitching staff in game 3. At the end of the day, the black bears lost to a right fielder who was brought in to pitch, and couldn't score another run or two at home.

Disagree. Ole Miss had the better pitching, just could not get clutch hits. They out hit TT but some of their better batters were cold in game 3.

I think because it went to game 3, all the presure was on Ole Miss. TT was playing calm with nothing to lose. Of course I know you hope to play them huh.

Tenn Tech had 36 hits against Ole Miss who had 25, IIRC. It was no fluke. I think Tenn Tech gets to Omaha. They can hit. They are a legit threat to beat anyone at any time, especially if the other team doesn't have their ace on the mound.

I don't think TT beats Texas. I think they pull a Houston from a few years ago. High RPI team that advanced out of Baton Rouge only to fall flat in the Supers.

Nah. If you're good enough, it doesn't matter who your opponent is. Saying Ole Miss got screwed would be like saying LSU got screwed by drawing Stony Brook or Coastal Carolina in home super regionals. I don't believe in that. Tennessee Tech was better, just like Stony Brook and Coastal Carolina were better.
