If I was a GM/Coach. I would worry more about the dad than the son. Prime will be second guessing every move and blaming the organization/coach for his sons failure (or even lack of enough success). Other players will fix the son's arrogance soon enough.

Nobody "deserves" to win a championship. You gotta earn it.

What are the odds senior Sanders retires from coaching (or goes pro) wen junior goes pro?
On Fridays I will watch Game 1 of the finals to teach me perseverance.
On Saturdays I will watch game 2 of the finals to teach me humility.
On Sundays I will watch game 3 of the finals to teach me how to over come setbacks.

At least until football season starts.
I will be there Tuesday and Wednesday in my LSU gear Sitting next to a pretty lady wearing an Auburn shirt.

I can't believe I am comparing Bregman and Thompson but here it is. Bregman could seem to make an error at the most inopportune time. Thompson seems to make a great play at the most opportune time.
We got tickets for Friday and Saturday, $10 a seat per game. Staying in Columbus. Lots going on that weekend in Auburn. Keep looking. If it isn't to far, just show up and watch from right field or the parking deck.
In 2011 Bama did not even win their half of their conference but won the Natty. Take it away.
Flash back to 2011 but FIFY:

It's too bad all they'll get is the lousy Indianapolis bowl trophy, while LSU gets the SEC Championship trophy, and rings.
I will be in the LSU shirt sitting next to the lady in the Auburn shirt.

Yes, the Trash Pandas play in Huntsville. Brand new stadium. Walking distance from my house if I had to.
I seem to recall UCLA win the CWS a few years ago playing small-ball. I hated to watch it but it worked for them.
No, I don't have a degree from LSU. But I grew up in BR cheering for the Tigers. That qualifies me as a fan. I attended LSU for 3 semesters and transferred and graduated from SLU. I cheer for them too (at least when they are not playing LSU). I also have a Masters degree from USM. I cheer for them too (at least when they are not playing LSU). I worked on a Phd at Auburn and my wife graduated from there with her Masters. My daughter will graduate this semester from Auburn. I cheer for them too (at least when they are not playing LSU).

You can be an honest fan without a degree. You just need some association other than "they win a lot and I want to cheer for a winner so I will cheer for them until they stop winning a lot". I see that a lot living in Alabama.
Speaking of living in Alabama, as an LSU and an Auburn fan, this football season was glorious. :rotflmao:

Ole Miss fans are generally terrible people. What specifically was your experience?

We had been at the SEC Tournament all week and sat on the third base side in our reserved seats. That was the Ole Miss dugout for the finals. All of the LSU fans that were there all week moved over to the LSU side. I wish we had too. Ole Miss showed up in mass so we were surrounded. They yelled, screamed, cussed, and generally disrespected any LSU fan around. Even to the point of someone yelling "Go To Hell LSU" DURING the national anthem. It didn't help that LSU lost the game. To be honest, that probably affected my opinion a little.

LSU vs Auburn Baseball tickets

The LSU website says sold out except for standing room only. My son and I attended a Vandy game a few years ago (it was senior night at the Box but rain threatened) and could only get standing room only tickets but sat about 10 rows up from the LSU dugout.

Have the games been fully attended? I don't want to drive for 7 hours if all I can do is stand.

Or is it a crap shoot and depends on the weather. Sunny, beautiful day and everybody shows up or cloudy and sit behind home plate.

Or, is there another source for tickets?
I love watching baseball. I watch every LSU game on TV and have season tickets to Auburn baseball (I currently live in Alabama). My wife and I attended the SEC baseball tournament the last two years and loved it (except for the finals last year, the Ole Miss fans were awful).

My enjoyment factor declines as the players get older. My favorite is high school, college, then MLB. Anything below high school can be tedious and I don't enjoy it as much.
Being an LSU fan living in Alabama and whose daughter goes to Auburn, I recommend finding the LSU tailgate crowd and hang with them. Better food and maybe some free beer. Oh, and stay away from my daughter.

re: Bama fans at their finest

I live in Alabama and almost EVERY time I am wearing an LSU shirt I get a comment from a Bama fan. Sometime just a "Roll Tide" which is OK. They get a "Tiger Bait" right back. It is when I am minding my own business and a Bama fan starts ranting at me about LSU football that makes me hate Bama fans.
You know, sometimes Coastal Carolina wins the College World Series. Baseball is like that.
LSU and Bama win out the regular season, both have one loss. Florida State beats Florida giving them two losses. Florida beats Bama in the SEC Championship game giving them 2 losses. A 1 loss LSU who beat the SEC champ goes to the final 4. Is is possible?
