So, most of us suffer an embarrassing loss to a Sun Belt school every now and then in football. We try to move on even though it's a deep scar that only heals with decades of time.

Here is a look at each SEC team's results against the CURRENT set of teams in the almighty Sun Belt Conference (Dating back to 1936).

This list is sorted by winning percentage

1. Auburn: (22-0) 1.000%
1. Georgia:(19-0) 1.000%
1. Tennessee: (9-0) 1.000%
4. Ole Miss: (24-0-1) .980%
5. Arkansas: (21-1) .955%
6. Alabama: (15-1) .938%
6. LSU: (15-1) .938%
6. South Carolina: (15-1) .938%
9. Florida: (14-1) .933%
10. Missouri: (8-1) .889%
11. Mississippi St: (29-3-2) .882%
12. Texas A&M: (13-2) .867%
13. Kentucky: (6-1) .857%

**Note**
Vanderbilt has NEVER played any of the current Sun Belt teams in the AP Poll Era.

Losses by team (year - opponent - score)

Alabama
2007, ULM 14-21
Arkansas
2012, ULM 31-34
Florida
2013, Georgia Southern 20-26
Kentucky
1994, ULM 14-21
LSU
2017, Troy 21-24
Mississippi St
1995, ULM 32-34
2001, Troy 9-21
2016, S. Alabama 20-21
Missouri
2004, Troy 14-24
South Carolina
1975, App State 34-39
Texas A&M
1996, Ragin' Cajuns 22-29
2008, Arkansas St 14-18

Thoughts:
-Why does Mississippi St play so many Sun Belt schools? They were lucky to scrape by with two ties, or else they would have 5 losses.
-Nice job Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee. (close one Ole Miss)
-ULM and Troy have given SEC schools 7 of its 12 total losses.
-Mississippi St and Missouri are the only 2 teams to lose by more than 1 possession. Shame on you.

Auburn may have dominated the Sun Belt but coming off the National Championship, we lost to Utah State the very first game of the season. We just happen to get lucky and score more than they did in the end. Auburn got beat. And it was horrible.

Maybe I was wrong about you Sean. Your past few threads have been pretty good.

I watched ULM take a mid 1990s Auburn team to the wire. Down 10 most of the game Auburn came back and ULM caved to pressure to lose 28-24. Much like the previous poster commented about the Utah State game, AU lost that game but luckily had more points on the scoreboard.

Noting the current tag, but Vandy did lose twice to MTSU (2002, 2005) when MTSU was a Sun Belt team.

UK also has a couple losses to the Sun Belt member Western KY (2012, 2013)

Hate to burst your bubble... and I know it says "current"

But this makes us look bad too.

But App State was a SOCON team back in the day and wanna say D 1aa?

that ULM game in 2012 was scary

Auburn sucked and ULM had a good QB

believe they took us to OT and a missed XP won us the game

Not to pile on Vandy, but they also suffered a loss in 2001 to MTSU as well.

I figured it would be the least confusing to keep it to current Sun Belt members only.

ULM is returning a lot of good football players from last year. Their QB is really good and very underrated. Ole Miss is going to be down for a few years because of the sanctions and stuff so I would not be surprised at all if ULM hands Ole Miss their first Sun Belt loss this year
