Is anyone else annoyed with the media's obsession with the royal wedding?

My wife and all her friends won’t shut up about. I’m happy Bishop Curry delivered a good message, but I really couldn’t give two shits about the “royals”. They’re an institution that has long outlived their usefulness and they live off of the British taxpayers while being among the richest people in the world.

Wife and friend are watching coverage on Sky News now. I made Bloody Mary’s. Indifferent. It’s fluff television. At least it’s better than Gilmore Girls re-runs, which I’m subjected to every morning.

I guess it makes sense as to why Brits care as it’s part of their culture. But why does the rest of the world care? They’re just celebrities.

It's a historic event. Yes, it's kinda weird when thinking of the obsession around it all, but that's life.

I find it annoying that people care so much about Snapchat filters and fidget spinners.

I could sort of understand the British media going crazy but I'm with you in not understanding why American media thinks we would care. We fought a war to be rid of this very family, although it went by a different name at the time, and separate from their caliphate. I give no fricks what they do.

People do. Especially women. Why? Don't know don't care.

But you can't say no one in America cares when about half its population does

They care because the media talks about it. There's way more push than there is pull with those people.

These people woke up at like 5 in morning to watch this shite. I’d say they care. And not just because it’s on

But even if they just care because the media covers it, does that mean they shouldn’t cover it? They still care.

Take the Kentucky Defby for example. Do people really care about Horse Racing? frick no. People only care because of the spectacle and the media coverage. So should the media cover the Kentucky Derby? If they don’t, what the frick else are they going to put on there? The same ole story they’ve probably been talking about for the last couple months?

It’s not like the media is having a problem with getting all their stories coverage.
