Probably. I always hated that thing. There's a tunnel for the team to enter the field now to "run thru the A".

Looks good. I suspect closing in that end zone will make it much louder.

Not bad. I have only been to one game in Arky and it was in Little Rock in 93’ and cold as hell.

They aren't increasing capacity. Just widening the seats to match the wide fan base.

I hate that we have to play in Jerry World every year. I would love to go to Kyle Field for an Arkansas-A&M game.

Did they move those white rocks out of the end zone?

Seating capacity? 67,500 or so.
Should be enough.

Watching the game from that tent on the playing field will be cool.

It’s kind of sad to think that Arkansas has had some decent home wins over the past decade, but they don’t really stick to memory. It’s either a paper tiger Ole Miss, or an Auburn/LSU team that finishes 8-5.

So when are y’all gonna finally rip up that plastic field and finally install a grass field like the rest of the league?

It isn’t like y’all are a Land Grant school or anything!

Has nothing to do with what Arkansas wants, but more to do with the location of the stadium and grass not being able to root properly.

The stadium sits down on the side of a hill. The playing surface gets very minimal sunlight which makes it hard to grow grass that will have the proper root structure to sustain an entire football season. The two seasons prior to the installation of artificial turf were the worst. Divots all over the field during games, loose grass everywhere. It just doesn't work with the soil content and the lack of sunlight for grass.

The game below is a good example. On the opening kickoff, you can see grass divots around and behind our kicker just from warm ups. On the opening kickoff, you can see divots all over the place from where Tennessee warmed up where he receives the ball.

Yea it does, it keeps the view open and keeps hw stadium unique.

If we closed it we’d just have a weak arse version of alll the other SEC stadium and more empty seats.

I drove by yesterday and it looks good. We still frickin suck but it looks solid.

Could get full for 2-3 years if Chad Bro Chill turns out decent but then he’ll bounce to Aggie and we will be back to square one as per usual.

Mediocrity is a flat circle.

That was a reasonable, thought out, and intelligent post. With any luck you won't get banned from the SEC Rant for a few days for having done so.
