He will convince himself to stay in pocket and throw the ball downfield. This is his chance to make an impression on Saban and the fan base that he can deliver the ball consistently to receivers who are not in the backfield. He has heard the complaints.

He might be thinking of attending some other spring games.

not sure about this. if he sees an opportunity to escape while being pressured he will take off upfield. I just hope it is north and south and not east and west.

He did beat Tua out for the starting job last year.

Jalen’s dad is all in his ear telling him what he needs to do to secure the job. Stay in pocket and throw the ball downfield.

Spring Games mean nothing. If he has convinced Saban he is a better passer, it was done prior to A-Day. Saban and most of the players do not care about trying to convince the fans they are worthy.

He will throw more balls out of bounds than he will complete.

It doesn't matter what he does in the Spring game. Hurts has had 2 years to learn to read defenses and throw the ball downfield. This is not really an acquired skill. Either a QB can do it or he can't - and Jalen has proven without a doubt he can't do it consistently enough to beat teams that bring down the safetys, put 8 men in the box, and stop the run. Tua would pick apart a defense that did that.

What's worse for Jalen is that Tua projects as a Pro QB - Jalen doesn't. Saban knows that.

Tua will start, Jalen will get some packages but Tua will be the starter. If Jalens dad doesn't like it then Jalen should transfer. Alabama will be better with Tua at QB than JH.
