Does this cause issue or concern?

Also, do you drink Mr Pig soda because of the name/logo?

Do SC fans have a preferred chicken joint?

I don't think I remember seeing a Piggly wiggly when I lived in Arkansas.

They were everywhere in NC though.

Piggly Wiggly was one of the first chain markets in the USA. Sad how far they have fallen. When I was young Piggly Wiggly was the bomb.

My Mom’s side of the family are all from Arkansas and they would say Piggly Wiggly.

My grandmother loved Piggly Wiggly more than Jesus.

Yeah, its Walmart. Honestly they are working hard at their grocery store aspect so they are right up there.

Now, outside of Arkansas, when I was youngster Piggly Wiggly in Mississipi was the Lord God of grocery stores.

Didn't hear the term "buggies" either when I lived in Arkansas.

First time hearing that was in NC as well.

Their Great Value brand is becoming incredible. Walmart's volume selling is giving customers some quality products for very reasonable prices.

For fried chicken, I'd imagine it would be Bojangles. For a chicken sammich, it's Chick-Fil-A.

I grew up in a town with 3 of them all on the same thoroughfare. Them were heady days for the Pig.

They used to be here, or there was one in my home town at least, but it’s changed owners maybe more than a few times over the last 20ish years and is now a Harp’s.

Strangely this isn’t the only Piggly Wiggly convo I’ve been in in the last few months. Still the best name ever for a grocery store.

Piggly Wiggly started in Memphis, 10RC and I believe it is the model that every modern grocery store is taken after. Before the Pig people walked into mercantile stores and gave a list of what they needed and the stock boys gathered it. PW was the first store to allow the customer to come in and make their own selections. They were also the first store to have multiple brands of the same product to allow the shopper to compare and buy the one they felt was better.

It's a simple branding question. Would someone frequent a business because of this? Arky is easy example for the question because not many teams with hogs as mascot. But no, I did not plot a Google map for grocery store density in the state.

Memphis has/had tigermart, gas stations with blue color scheme and tiger logo.

I always thought it was funny that Huntsville had a regular Walmart (no groceries) and Harps was right next door.

Harps is "employee owned" iirc.

We don't have Piggly Wiggly, at least not in western or Northwestern Arkansas.

Sounds fun, though.
