I talked to a friend of mine who is a Big Ten/Ohio St guy and is pretty familiar with Crean. He seemed to think Crean will have issues recruiting at UGA. It seemed like he had decent success recruiting at Indiana but just wasn't winning at the level they expected.

Anyhow, I found this article - LINK

My gut tells me Crean will do well at UGA. He just seems to have the right level of energy the program needs.

He has zero logic and knows nothing. That’s why this shite is funny. OP just wanted to be able to start some shite so he could kinda defend to start a thread for reactions...he’s just about as big of an idiot as his “friend.”

His logic is that Crean is from Michigan and has never coached in the south. I think Crean will do well at UGA.

Tell your buddy he doesn’t understand basketball recruiting and doesn’t know Crean as well as he thinks....can your buddy list all the recruits he got from Michigan and Georgia for us?

lulz

I guess by that logic saban would never be able to recruit the south when he came to LSU from toledo/michigan state.

It was Indiana - they expect to win both the NCAA Tourney and the NBA title each year. They may be a tad unrealistic in their expectations.

Hopefully Crean retains Jonas Hayes and we can get the guys like Hagans to re-commit. It sounds like Crean realizes Hayes would be a great asset; especially helping to recruit Georgia.

Number 12 player in the country has stated that we are now a legit contender for his commitment.

Kid is a 6’10 Forward.

I guess Coach Crean does suck as a recruiter.

Seriously, if we can land this Kid and he lives up to his billing. If we have an improved Nic Claxton and another 6’10 kid right beside him HOLY CRAP! The depth that this would create would be fantastic.

If he could get Hagans back and pull E.J. Montgomery......holy shite, we would be ready to make a run next season!

Hagans is waiting until 2019 to enroll wherever he goes. I am gonna go ahead and say it, we will get Hagans back. Hagans and Crean have a prior relationship so we aren’t starting from scratch again.

If EJ commits we and lives up to hype he will probably be a one and done. Perhaps a host of their 5-stars coming in could encourage him to stay for year two.

I have a hard time believing EJ's coming to Athens, but I'd be more than happy for him to join the squad, as long as we don't upset any of the older players

You know his family personally? Latest is that he reclassified for 2018 and waiting to ensure he can qualify for that....Either way, he isn’t “waiting” until 2019. 2019 is when he was suppose to graduate, but made it clear his intentions would be to go 2018 if he can.

It’s not at all about not upsetting older players. It’s about developing them. But we only have two front court players that can legitimately play. This makes more sense than taking on a Guard in this class.

Moving on, I don’t know him or his family. He stated on DawgNation that he was going to stick with his original classification. The writer talked about how UGA would have more time than originally thought to fight off other teams for his re-commitment.

Here’s an article written yesterday about Louisville going after him and his coach saying he could go in 2018 or 2019 “whichever he decides.” LINK

Here’s one saying Kentucky hasn’t really recruited him but that he could join the Wildcats this summer if they would just recruit him - from a week ago.....

LINK

Yes, the week after he decommit, he was trying to deny the rumors that he actually had reclassified, but he still can and is seriously considering it
