Arkansas needing to make it easier to attend is simply a functional product of that. In sales sometimes you have to use the clearance tactic to generate interest, Mizzou doesn't need to resort to such tactics.

Well, Arkansas is about 4K cheaper than Mizzou for Missouri kids. You get what you pay for I suppose.

It’s cheaper to go to Arkansas than Mizzou for Missouri kids.

That's false. Mizzou 2017 enrollment is 30,500. Arkansas 2017 enrollment is 27,500.

Yeah. Arkansas isn’t “much easier to get into.” Like most state colleges, you fill out the FAFSA, you fog a mirror and you’re accepted at both.

Being cheaper in tuition isn't a bad thing, nor does it speak to the quality of education you'll get at an institution. There are plenty of really expensive small colleges that churn out useless graduates.
