Since baseball game threads don’t get much traction.

Ags lead 2-0 on RI in the 2nd. Like a lot of teams it looks like they’re pitching has run out after their Friday & Saturday starters. I expect some runs today. Ags throw an upperclassmen with solid junk (& good breaking pitches too).

Auburn goes for the sweep of Longwood. Won yesterday 25-1 so both teams got a lot of freshman pitchers work. I expect highly touted freshman Tanner Burns to have a day on the mound.

Feel free to add LSU talk. Think y’all avoid the series loss to ND?

Davis Daniel, our Sunday guy last year.

Butch Thompson kinda works our pitchers different than most. I expect Auburn to be TBA for Sunday all weekend. He will throw whoever he has to Friday and Saturday to win the series and let Sunday be more by committee.

Because Friday and Saturday went so well, we got to save Burns for a start.

Not looking good. And the way they played this weekend it’s not surprising.

Auburn’s Tanner Burns is going to be nasty.

Forewent a 1st round drafting to come to AU. Started his first game and has struck out 5 of 6 through 2, and has hit 96 a few times

We have not played anyone worth bragging (maybe Upstate)...but went down to South Carolina and got 4 games and won. Zach Thomas needs to find his location (got roughed up in his start)...but the team clawed out the 5 run deficit to win.

Tristen Pompey was a monster. I think he is hitting over .400 with multiple doubles and a home run...leads the team with 6 rbi’s

On to Xavier midweek games.

He's already really fun to watch. Has 3 different pitching motions from the wind up with different speeds he uses ha

I'm not sure anyone wants to try to compare numbers after the opening weekend. Whole lot of beating up on people.

Winthrop 1
OM 0

Bottom 4

Their only run came when our dumbass pitcher tried to go to third on a comebacker and hit a gd hot dog vendor.

He subsequently got 2 Ks to end the inning.

Cannizzaro gonna have some State fans turning on him soon. We're down 2-0 in the 3rd. We are fricking awful so far.
