I want the SEC rule being referred to posted. I think Cajun is just pulling stuff out of his arse from tidefans or something of the like.

And by rule, I mean as it was in 2010.

Per the SEC at the time as was reported in Forbes:

quote:

SEC Bylaw 14.01.3.2 does not apply in this situation. It only applies when there is an actual payment of an improper benefit, or an agreement (such as a handshake agreement) to pay and receive an improper benefit. The facts in this case, as we understand them, are that the student-athlete’s father, without the knowledge of the student-athlete, solicited improper payments (which were rejected) from an institution the young man did not attend, and that the institution where the young man is enrolled was not involved.

Truth

Herman was so ruined by ATPB that he went from being a LSU fan to a Bama fan.

So his dad shopped him to other schools, but turned down all the money he was asking for so he could instead go to Auburn for free?

No, Kenny Rogers (EX-MSU Player) shopped him to MSU, with Cecil's consent. It is hard for the Bammers to accept, but that is what happened. Do you think AU would trust an ex-player from a rival school to negotiate a payment for a recruit ? Some of you are just stupid.

Remember the NCAA went out of their way to compliment AU in this issue. Have you ever seen that happen before ? Bammers please explain why they would do that.

Well, what happened (cam's dad got some serious cash-suitcase style from somebody, with or without cam's knowledge) and what can actually be proved are two different things, lol, this why the barn is clean as a whistle in that situation.

Why do you think he got some "serious cash-suitcase" payment ? Because he was good ?

It’s funny fans act like their side is factual and recognize they have absolutely nothing to prove it besides their hatred of a rival.

Nobody wants to answer why the NCAA praised Auburn on how they handled this situation. That is what pushed the Scott Mooore (bamascoop), redfish and all the other bammers over the edge. They kept hoping that the NCAA would do to Auburn what they did to USC in 04. It made their heads explode.

You mean he went through contacts in order to reach boosters who would pay the money?

Play ignorant if you want, I really don't care - I just think it's funny.

Because everyone knows what really happened and Cam has basically admitted to it with a wink and a nod.

It's about like OJ flashing his not guilty verdict - nobody cares.

Because Cam had just won the jc national title and his Dad vowed that "this time we're going to be paid".

If you still think the Dad would ask for money from one program but go to the other place for nothing, you're worse than naive.

Cecil admitted soliciting a payday, and the ncaa adopted the Newton rule that thereafter precluded a parent from acting as an agent.

Not to the ground but they have a curse as bad as the Phulmer curse at Vol land.
They can only get so close to the NC. But will not make it across the line. Call it the Cam Curse.

MSU said no to paying. I know you are a gump and Bama pays for more players more often than any team in NCAA history, but the facts are still the facts. It's never been shown any money was on the table from MAY, only that it was requested and then Cam went elsewhere and an exhaustive year plus investigation resulted in a letter praising AU and saying no violations were found.

You can hope in one hand and shite in the other, in the end it’s still your shite smeared hand hoping the other happened. So much that your hopes have evolved into invented shite covered facts
