The season kicks off Friday at 5PM against Wooford in Spartanburg, SC. The game will be on the radio locally in Lexington and I'd always check ESPN3 for streaming. The final season at The Cliff looks to be an exciting one and hope to see some of you all out on the Deck. It looks like we have home series against preseason #1 Florida and #3 Texas Tech. Let's get behind this team and show we can be a Baseball school as well.

***Yes, I'm in the first pic***

ETA: I think I see Mike as well.

Might try to go to the South Carolina series since it’s during our spring break. Will be at Jim Patterson when they come here too.

What's the word on UL team this year. Don't hear much about them. I know they lost a lot as well, but I'm sure they are still a solid ball club. Hopefully, we can avoid them in the regional or super regional.

They’re supposed to be Top 20-ish but they lost quite a bit, so not too much chatter.

Cats are 2-0 and looking to be 3-0 up 10-1 in USC-Upstate in 8th. My big lefty made his debut. So pumped for him. Cats appear to have a beefy lineup and some great pitching. This is awesome.

Cats now 4-0 to start the year. Last year they started 0-4.

Was on the deck last night. That was wilder than even the UofL games in the past. Also, I would now like a separate drinking area for grown ups. No problems, but i was just reminded that even at 29, I am like 50% older than the kids.

Can't wait for the series at UGA. Gonna head to Athens for that one. Don't make it back to Lexington often.

You'll need to come to the OG section with Mike and I. I was pretty late getting back into town from practice, but I turned it on at the house and it looked like an amazing atmosphere. I was in shock at how many people were out on the deck. If the weather breaks, I may make Saturday. Definitely shooting for Sunday though.

Yeah I’ve been there usually once per weekend the last two years. I always try to figure out which people there are y’all.
Can’t make it Friday or Saturday but I may be out Sunday, particularly if there’s a rainout earlier and we get a doubleheader.

Were you at the Regional final last year?

After dropping the midweek against Xavier, Cats get back on track with a 10-1 win against Oakland. Cats now 5-1 on the season. Hjelle went 7 2/3 with 1 hit and 13 ks. Going to try my best to get to the Deck tomorrow but will be there for sure Sunday.

I’ll be out on The Deck today. Cats look to go 7-1 on the year.

It will be called "corporate suites" in the new stadium

Sadly, at 29 you are like a fossil to them. It just gets worse as you get older. At about 35 you will be middle age even if you are in denial. We may be living longer but last decade or two is not always with good quality of life. Folks that make it past 70 and still fully fit both mentally and physically probably got good genes as much as anything else.
That being said, have you met Bho and Mike there yet?

I took my son out there yesterday. Spent the first 5 on the deck before moving inside. My son got Collett’s home run ball.

This season is going to be special.

Baseball is such a funny game. I try and keep level headed about this team, but they just continue to impress me. Pompey out and the lineup continues to just beat the hell out of one of the best pitchers in the country. No glaring holes. I am going to be pretty disappointed if we don't have one of the top 8 seeds and make a deep run with this group. With Hjelle, Lewis and Pompey probably gone this year, we need to take a big step forward this season.

Big win for the Cats today in giving Texas Tech their first loss of the season. Anybody heading out to the Deck this weekend? We are supposed to scrimmage Lafayette tomorrow at 1 and if we get cancelled I'm sure UK vs Bama will take over my TVs. I would like to make it out there Sunday for sure.

Sorry, missed Saturday and Sunday as I went up to St Louis for the Finals. Cats win the series 2-1 and move to #3/4

I’ve only made it out twice so far. Bad combination of weather, work, and wife plans thus far. Can’t wait to break the grill out and do a full day.
