Yep, we're starting to actually retake the state, too. I think we can solidify it when we trounce Miami next year.

And we are going to beat the dogshit out of Miami.

This class is getting good quick. Huge gets with Zipp and Summer.

Zipperer was the guy I thought we had no chance with, but getting all three of them was a big time get -- and we got them over rivals, rivals who wanted them BAD.

Need to finish strong with Steele and Elam and of course..get another big transfer.....achoo Fields ;)

I'd like Fields just as much as anyone, but I just don't think Mullen can basically shite on the future like that. Jalon, I feel, is gone if that happens. Emory might be, too and we all know Philip Hotdogs isn't going to beat out Justin Fields.

So basically: Throw away at least 3 Quarterbacks (maybe 4) for one really, really talented Quarterback. I think I might have to take the risk.

With Steele and Elam: Now some big time writers for Florida are putting them both in a mock draft.

That would be an absolutely enormous victory for Mullen, and with a few more Blue Chips would get us in the top ten at 9 or 10.

Hopefully we can flip a DT. I like Humphries but he needs help

Slaton, Conliffe & Campbell will be juniors in 2019 and really had a wasted true frosh season due to injuries to our starters. Don't under value them...they are big bodies and ready to help solidify the run defense. Dunlap will be a senior and he played a lot of snaps this year. Im not sure what class the West Virginia DT transfer is or if he is done.

Of course we need depth 2 DT recruits would be great to put in the rotation early and let them acclimate to SEC big boy football. With the new redshirt rules we could save a year perhaps. We cannot afford injuries to a starting DT. Two years ago Bryan was playing with injuries and finally missed the last game of the year.

OL we definitely needed big time and we got us some good ones...but they will need time to develop...wished we could have gotten them last year.

We filled our need at LB and the secondary is good but we need one more like Steele and Elam would be icing.

You aren’t really tossing out recruits. Sure one may leave but doubt all do. Fields will leave in two years. So missing out on either Jones leaving isn’t a huge deal when adding in getting one of the best talents in years at QB...which Fields is. Fields is the only player we can instantly put on the field and be contenders of that group. He is that lvl of elite and Mullen’s offense he is literally perfect for in every way like Dak and Tebow.

I am just done with transfer QB's. Let's grow our own.

I know Jalon really, really does not want a transfer QB and I'm almost positive that it's connected to a promise that was made to him by Mullen. That said...

Fields provides an immediate injection of Blue Chip talent to our offense that will bleed into next year and can be a Championship level Quarterback.

I agree with you, by the way, I don't have any qualms losing one of the Jones (preferably Emory), Franks, Trask and whoever else -- although I think Trask is going the coaching route so he might stay just for depth if he doesn't announce his transfer.

Fields was very interested in Florida before going to Georgia, so we could very easily land him.

it's too late for fields to come here unless he can play immediately. which looks unlikely.

eta: just read on the georgia board that fields wants to play in the sugar bowl and kirby is allowing it.

It's kind of bizarre, but I don't think Kirby is...actually a smart person? Even playcalling, he just doesn't seem like he's quick witted or intelligent. I mean, he has to know that Georgia fans have already turned on Fields.

Furthermore: I think he has to because he botched the QB position this year and only has one scholarship QB for the Sugar Bowl.

Disaster.

I can say with a lot of confidence that any QB, if offered the ability to study under Mullen for a year would take that offer. He would play in his Junior year and leave after that very same season. Mullen has a track record with Quarterbacks like him.

On Fields, I don't expect Mullen to go after Fields. He has not gone after transfers.

Expect new names to pop up on the radar at DL.

247 top DLs

Looking at that Sorrels and Ellies stand out to me. Seems to me that we go JUCO if we can not get a 4* level talent.

Like Caesar told Maximus, “Take my hand, I only offer it once.”

Let that mutt wander...we have QBs who want to be Gators, dont burn what we have built over a prima-donna.

I believe Sorrels is still a grades risk. USCe has been recruiting him hardest for a while.

Kirby is an idiot if he allows that.

Not much out there on chris steele even on other team sites.. is he "committing " at the game before the dead period is over ? What are the chances he signed already?

Fields and Fromm are the only scholarship QBs they have right now.

Edit: Kirby is still an idiot. That punt fake is one of the worst decisions ever. Bama was playing defense not punt return.

he had every opportunity in the world to pick uf the first time

he's got dog shite all over him

New name to watch on DL: 3-star Smith Vilbert out of New Jersey. OV set for January 11. Already OVed to Penn State and Oregon.

Quashon Fuller visiting that weekend as well, then OV to FSU the weekend after.

I'm only reporting this because I'm stupidly fed up with these shenanigans:

A USC insider posted a few days ago that Steele's LOI was received by Florida and that he will be committing on the 5th of January publicly. They said the reason he will be committing to Florida instead of USC is because they were unable to get a DB coach quick enough for him, and that it was a tough decision.

That's at least what I heard, but t'is the season for people to bullshite. I believe it, though, we got two crystal balls the day that Steele supposedly signed his LOI.

I believe nothing until the student shows up on campus. I don’t even trust LOI’s anymore. Spring or Fall practice with a Gator jersey and the students name is on the back. Even then I’m skeptical.
