I agree and haven't heard anything, just correcting reel on the idea of a transfer not being able to get our playbook in what's essentially two years. If we don't get Fields it's because he has no interest in Florida, not because he won't understand our offense. (He gets two years because of obligatory RS and then the entire next camp.)

Regardless, it would be interesting from a recruiting angle if he were to look at Florida. Kind of bizarre that he's considered OSU and Oklahoma where there are better QBs than Fromm and are of the same mold.

Reading comprehension can be difficult for some, the point I made about true frosh QBs doesn't apply to Fields as much as high school recruits. There are exceptions of course, I don't think Fromm isn't a good example because as a tr frosh he wasn't asked to do much other than hand the ball off and protect it...thowing the ball maybe 10 times. He does have a live arm though and as a soph he has expanded his knowledge.

But Straws has a poor record regarding QBs and predicting who will start etc etc. We cant even predict other roster spots or what 2019 brings us. Better to lay low Strawsy.

Can we get back to recruiting?

247 with articles about both the major Oakleaf guys in back to back days - is this just content churning or do we have some momentum there? Rivers in particular would be a huge addition due to the lack of pure OTs we signed this year.

I am looking forward to the QB's we have in the fold, not the ones who chose to go to a rival. That said if CDM brings Fields in I will support that as well.

Now, about those Miami commits in 2020 and 2021.... hopefully we can turn a few of them.

We take care of business in game 1 of 2019 season and those recruits will turn themselves.
A lot of it starts tomorrow morning in Atlanta.

You called our HC a Hunchback with a bad record, I'm not sure you should be talking about predictions, old timer.

Technically it is recruiting, I just corrected reel and now he's upset about it.

That being said: Miami laying eggs will definitely help us, but they won't be down forever. This next season we should get a jumpstart on all in-state rivals.

If we can win this Bowl game it is going to give us a lot of juice going into the Feb signing and the off season.

Arbitrary "on-field results don't matter" .

Beating FSU, Michigan and then Miami will definitely go a long way. I don't think Miami has a prayer next year, regardless of the outcome of tomorrow's game.

Please provide that quote for me Strawsy….that kind of quote I don't remember. I have stated many times that I wasn't thrilled with the hiring of Mullen and like many others, I was immediately onboard once I saw his dynamics in getting players to buy in....way before any practice was held.

Strawsy, it isn't your predictions that I see as a problem, its the flat out 300% assuredness of your prediction. You flash your sword and its like you want to command that it happens. Its cute and all, but falling on sharp swords stings.

Then I will own it, I remember the Mountain Dew cause that's what he drank all the time in the coaches box when he was OC.

Maybe clean up your posts.

Back to Florida Football:

Mullen was Facetiming a recruit, some have reported that it was Dexter from (I believe) the 2020 class.

YOU clean up your posts azzwipe. You wanted Chip Ahoy Kelly as our HC,,,what a disaster THAT would have been. You know damn well I support Mullen 110%....you are the smart one that thinks he should listen to your QB suggestions.

I was literally debating you on Mullen's credentials in the same thread, so go to bed old man.

This is for TRUE BLUE Gators, thank you very much, Reelsy.

I wouldn’t have minded if he was FaceTiming a certain 4/5* CB for the class of 19.
Either way, I’ll bet that recruit felt pretty cool and important.

Elam pretty much let the cat out of the bag that Steele was recruiting him to Florida. January 5th, Steele will commit to Florida.

Not doubting you or what you’ve read/heard/been told. I just believe nothing and no one until it’s actually done.

The usc stuff about saying he signed with a school already. Still don’t believe it.

Nah, Elam said it in an interview. So USC beatwriter already broke it + Elam said "Chauncey, Steele" and someone else I can't remember.

I generally agree to wait, but that is a shite TON of smoke for there not to be fire. Usually one source is pretty suspect, but when it's two who aren't connected to each other that'd be a crazy troll.
