I'm not sure what we see in john metchie, im sure he's a fine player but I think we can find a better receiver

I think the staff likes his versatility. Also, seems like he has the Bama mentality. You need kids like that to win long term.

He's also extremely talented.

If you look at the practice video from the other day, we better get all the Dlinemen we can get. The young guys and the grad transfer guy look nowhere ready. Not talking about Mathis and Ray but the others

Found these things written in an article about Metchie.
Apparently he had a heart issue his freshman year of high school.

Metchie worked hard on his conditioning to get back in shape. The countless hours he spent on the field and in the weight room was where he developed the work ethic so many of his coaches and teammates rave about.
From waking up at 6 a.m. every morning to get an extra run in to working out multiple times a day, Metchie’s sole focus is on becoming the best player he can be. Even when his brother, Royce — who plays for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders — would FaceTime him, he’d lament he was training instead of hanging out with this friends, who were playing games.
“He walks around with a chip on his shoulder, like he has something to prove,” Royce said. “He’s a kid (for whom) mediocrity is not a thing … He hates just being average, especially on the field.”

“The thing that separates Metchie from other players is his work ethic. His work ethic is ridiculous (in a good way),” Wolford said. “He is constantly asking questions on how he can improve, he takes really good care of his body and he is passionate about the game.
“He is the type of kid that coaches dream of having in their program. If you came to practice and you had never met him before or never seen what he looks like, you would know exactly who he is because he stands out like a sore thumb. There’s a reason he has the offers that he has. His potential is limitless.”

Jahleel Billingsley's dad said Florida and LSU contact them a lot, but he emphasized that they're "locked in" with Bama. Jahleel plans to sign early, but doesn't plan to enroll early. Coach Pannunzio will be at his game toomorrow night.

Mike Farrell consistently has bad takes. He recently posted an article trashing Nick Bosa for "abandoning his teammates." He doesn't have a damn clue what that dude is dealing with in that injury. And lmao at Waddle being averaged sized but Ruggs being below average.

I'll start the never ending rounds of class predictions:

6 spots:
Noah Cain RB
Kristian Williams DT or we flip Byron Young DE
Mike Hollins RB
Raydarious Jones DB
Surprise OL (Green, Dobbs, or Morris)
Helinski QB**** (ok, a little bit out there with this one....but) or Dean ILB!!!!!!

And just for shits and giggles - Bama finsihes with: 8 spots (at least one of their current commits will fall off:
Sanders or Glass RB
Sopsher DT
Lee WR/S
Wright OT
Graves DE/OLB
To'oto'o ILB
Pola-Gates DB
And they flip someone unexpected like Hill S

R. Sopsher gets preferred walk-on. Ika ends up staying out west. Banks ends up at A&M. (I’ve never seen a fan base like LSU . Who would make there last predictions and ours too!!!!
