I stated this in a earlier post.

"Still a amazing stat. Starting with the 08 class, every player that has graduated from Bama with the exception of 2, has a natty ring."

I'm good with forgeting that Leon Brown every existed.

Or we can go with the alternate reality, that Leon Brown was kicked off the team during the summer of 13.

I don't recall it's origin, but I like this one too:

I thought he was reminding us of a recruiting graphic. The first one I ever saw said that every player CNS has recruited and stayed for 3 years has won a championship.

Maybe so. Here's the article about (and where I found) Gattis' tweet:

Alabama assistant Josh Gattis produces ultimate answer for fancy recruiting graphics from other programs (SEC Country)

quote:

Josh Gattis produced a drop-the-mic moment in responding to fancy recruiting graphics from other programs that are circulating throughout Twitter.

On Wednesday, the Alabama assistant used the social media service to publish an image of the Crimson Tide celebrating their most recent national title with the greatest prize of all: that beautiful trophy awarded to the last team standing. Gattis began the message by referencing some of the recruiting graphics that are used by rival coaches to advertise their respective programs to recruits. (You might remember that former Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey crushed Texas A&M assistant Tim Brewster recently for Ramsey’s inclusion within one of the Aggies’ recruiting graphics.

Here’s Gattis’ full tweet:

That’s how it’s done.

Really, what more needs to be said or written? If you’re one of the top talents in the country, competing for a national title should be the goal before beginning an NFL journey. Gattis and other Alabama assistants are wise to advertise the Crimson Tide’s dominance under coach Nick Saban, a remarkable stretch that includes five national championships.

Recruiting is about selling a program’s story in creative ways that connect with recruits. Yes, the strategic graphics will continue. But Alabama has the biggest trump card of all: proven success that has led the Crimson Tide to the sport’s summit time and time again.

Gattis' tweet and the ATM graphic reminded me of a graphic UT made showing Pruitt and NFL players that he coached at FSU, UGA and UA.

I think Gattis was mainly just saying there's lots of graphics out there, but no program can touch Bama in National Titles. And Gattis is absolutely right. Bama has won 5 of the last 9.

Lol Christian Harris got an LSU offer. Bad that Bama has to force their hand.

Sam Spiegelman CB'd Christian Harris to LSU.

But he swore up and down Patrick Surtain was a LSU lock until the end so what does he know?

Alabama recruiting question of the day: How many in-state players will Tide sign?

quote:

I heard from a lot of fans during the 2018 recruiting cycle who wondered why Alabama wasn’t targeting more players from within its state borders. The Tide signed only two players from Alabama in the last cycle: 4-star cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis and 3-star tight end Michael Parker.

There will be lots more Yellowhammer State flavor in the 2019 class. The reason why Alabama didn’t have more from the state in the last cycle was because the talent level was down. There were only a handful of players the team was interested in. That’s not the case for 2019.

Here’s an early look at who I expect Alabama will land from within the state.

Clay Webb, 5-star center, Oxford High School

Clay Webb was one of the top 5 offensive linemen I saw in action last season. He’s that good. Webb didn’t grow up a fan of either Alabama or Auburn. Both of his parents went to Jacksonville State, but the Crimson Tide do have an advantage over Auburn in the battle for Webb: his relationship with Alabama commit Pierce Quick.

“I think Clay is the best center in the nation for 2019, no doubt,” Quick told SEC Country last year. “I’ve seen him lose maybe two reps at all the camps I’ve been to. We are also really good friends and I just want him on my team at the next level.”

Webb’s decision will likely come down to the Tide and Tigers. Not only does he have a good relationship with Quick, but he’s also close with offensive line coach Brent Key.

Pierce Quick, 5-star tackle, Hewitt-Trussville — committed to Alabama

Quick committed to Alabama last April. It would come as a shocker if he ended up signing with any other program. Quick grew up a giant Crimson Tide fan and has wanted to play for the school since he could remember. Look for him to be one of the vocal leaders of the 2019 class.

Taulia Tagovailoa, 4-star quarterback, Thompson

Alabama fans definitely recognize Taulia’s last name. Yes, he is Tua Tagovailoa’s little brother. That doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee that they end up attending the same school. We are talking about a kid who played for a different high school while the family lived in Hawaii so he could have the opportunity to play. Could that happen again? I do know that Tagovailoa is interested in visiting other schools, but from talking to him several times, he absolutely loves Alabama.

Paul Tyson, 4-star quarterback, Hewitt-Trussville

Paul Tyson is Bear Bryant’s great-grandson. Tyson has been going to Alabama games his entire life. But, like Tagovailoa, it’s not a certainty that he ends up at Alabama. It would be a surprise if he didn’t choose the Crimson Tide, considering his family history, but he has taken visits to several other schools.

Christian Williams, 4-star cornerback, Daphne

Christian Williams is another in-state recruit who grew up an Alabama fan. The Crimson Tide signed five defensive backs in the 2018 class after not signing any true corners in the 2017 class. Williams is one of the Tide’s top defensive back targets in the 2019 class. He’s expected to visit Tuscaloosa on Feb. 24 for the Tide’s junior day event.

Amari Kight, 4-star tackle, Thompson

It’s an excellent year in the state for offensive linemen, and the Crimson Tide could strike gold by landing Webb, Quick and Amari Kight, a teammate of Taulia Tagovailoa. Kight already has offers from some of the nation’s best programs. He will be a priority until he signs his letter of intent.

DJ Dale, 4-star defensive tackle, Clay-Chalkville

DJ Dale added an offer from Alabama after the Tide’s last junior day event in late January. The Crimson Tide wanted to add one more defensive lineman in the 2018 class after Bobby Brown flipped to Texas A&M and Malik Langham signed with Florida. Dale will be a priority for the Tide.

Vonta Bentley, 4-star inside linebacker, Jackson-Olin

Jackson-Olin has sent two players to Auburn (TD Moultry and Coynis Miller) in the last two recruiting classes. Alabama hopes the streak ends with Vonta Bentley. He named Alabama his leader after visiting Tuscaloosa in January. There are other inside linebacker targets on the board right now, including 5-star prospect Nakobe Dean.

with the exception

Why craft a statement of positive in ANY way that includes a negative?

The correct way to craft that selling point is, "Every signing class at Bama from 2007 has won at least one national championship"

When you put words like "except" or "with the exception of" in there, it draws the focus toward that negative and make the negative in the statement the focus of the statement. Your posting style makes me question if you are really an Alabama fan, or just a troll playing the long game.
