Come on man.. what are you smokin' up there in Colorado. What is this- their third Heismann winning QB in recent memory ? Quarterback has never been their problem. The answer to their problem starts with a D.

I never left I just don't post much. I know every time I get on here its nothing but haters talking about how shitty our state is, how our football team sucks, basketball team sucks, big 12 sucks, etc... Well have a good one!

I don't think you've been to Oklahoma.
We listen to 98.1 WWLS The Sports Animal in OKC and Tulsa. The station is pretty solid.
I've been all over the US, lived on the east coast and down south, and very few sports stations in my opinion are better than The Sports Animal. But you're right, after college football Okies immediately transition to Thunder basketball. And with the superstars in OKC, it's hard not too. If Finebaum would actually talk in depth about other conferences, I would listen more. But when 90% of his callers talk about Alabama or Auburn or when his entire segment is dedicated to Tennessee, I'll pass.

Couldn't tell if this was directed at me, but I've lived here in Oklahoma for 31 years. I listen to those radio stations you reference. I don't agree with much of what is said here about Oklahoma. I think more than half the people here in Oklahoma can be tied back to Alabama in some way. You know... the Trail of Tears and whatnot.
What I will tell you is that the level of attention given to college football between Oklahoma and Alabama is light years apart. You probably can't appreciate it unless you have experienced it first hand on both fronts.

Until they grow the balls to leave Texas, they headed to back to the asylum and checked back in as voluntary.

I'd agree that the attention level is different. No pun intended.
Starting after the ace woopin in 05 by USC, the Sooners national prestige took a sharp hit. When I lived in lower Alabama (Fort Rucker) from 04 to 06, Jason Campbell, Cadillac Williams were the thing in Bama. Back then, at least in Enterprise-Ozark-Dothan, Alabama sports radio down there didn't exist. Can't speak for today. SOONER!

Don't know where you have been, but there have been plenty of us Clemson posters still on this board. Congrats on the Natty... Might get another rematch next year.

Baker Mayfield carried that team.
He was huge for them, not doubt. But they had two very good WR's, and two excellent runningbacks.
Slow their offense down just a beat, and get a disciplined defense and they would be a better team. But make no mistake about it, they have some very good, young, offensive players.
Their defense was undisciplined and took themselves out of position a lot. They were poor tacklers and took bad angles. If they got themselves a good DC that could teach discipline and angles to the ball they would be very good.
