Gus and O are in cahoots

These past 2 seasons have changed the fates of both programs. When you really think about it. If Les beats Auburn, Gus probably is fired the next day. Les probably drops another game he later on down line and still gets fired after the season.
O doesn't have that 6-2 record and the team players vouching for his hire based off a emotional connection. LSU is actually "forced" to do a real coaching search. Probably gets a nice young coach that would of had them humming in year 2 with all that sexy Louisiana talent.
Auburn probably goes and gets a solid coach also. I know Barner will scream 26-14 but it might have been the best thing for Bama and SEC west in hindsight, Gus slides nicely into "Kelvin Sumlin" role. You guys gave this man 7 years without seeing him actually develop a Quarterback he recruited and has 1 Birmingham Bowl on his resume. Literally this keeps both programs in mediocrity for years to come.
Gus will likely have to beat Georgia twice and Bama once to win the SEC any given year.

Yes. Having a different coach wouldn't change this.

agree Les doesn't get fired that week (probably later on) but don't agree Gus is fired the next day. Maybe at the end of the season
