Sad the refs always seem to find a way to frick up! Calls like that, in these games need to be reviewed! 65 yd swing and possible points taken from GA there!

Are you talking about the punt play?
If you call Bama for moving early..That's a false start.
Whistle would have blown, calling the play dead, would back Bama up 5 yrds, and they would have punted it.
You can't get a punt block out of that, for Bama moving early, because the violation renders the play dead.
They have the football at that point, and are still considered The offense, any early movement by the offense, renders the play dead. It works the same for all teams.
I suppose it would have made a 10 yard difference,but that's all.
Then again.if everything were different, your returner might fumble and lose the ball.

If we are going to talk about refs, why wasnt that a horse collar on #48 on the kickoff return?

WAhhhhhhwahhhhhhh STFU. We played in a game last year in which the opponent ran 100 plays with no penalties, and scores 2 TD's on obvious pick plays. Check out which team has had the least number of penalties called on their opponents over the last 4 years. Alabama. They let y' all get away with murder and you still can't win.

Penalties or not Kirby didn't know how to close. The way we play defense and the way Fromm was dealing he should had not went away from it.

This is a welcoming community of sports talk. So you can take your reason and just get the hell out Toby, because logic has no place here.

Because he grabbed the guy on the front of his jersey right under his neck. A horse collar is grabbing the top of the back of the jersey and pulling down to make the tackle.

Ok, not a horse collar, but:
I am just curious, i didnt have a dog in the fight. I enjoyed a good game. That play seemed pretty obvious too me, though. Esp considering how strick football has become in regards to olayer safety

What is Clothesline Tackle?
A football move in which a player on defense strikes an offensive player on the neck or chest by extending an arm away from his body and parallel to the playing field. This type of tackle is considered unnecessary roughness and a personal foul, and generally results in a penalty and sometimes a fine or other action by the league. Clothesline tackles can be made from in front or behind.

here I go with some logic again,mistake..I know.
I am pretty sure that you know what a clothesline is,but you are getting confused by this part;
Clothesline tackles can be made from in front or behind.
That means the person making the tackle, can be facing the runner,or turned away from him,but if he throws out his arm,so that the runner in his forward motion is impacted in the neck or chest,it is a foul.
Now that is considering that strong force is used,if it is just a reach and grab some jersey, that's not the same thing.
I haven't seen a real clothesline tackle in a long time.

to me, the fact that the bama-WR took 2 steps before the snap on the 4th down tying touchdown was...shite. Especially after the punt play.

If anything, it was a blown false start call, and to extrapolate a big bunch of anything resulting from it is just dumb. That can literally be done with every single snap.

When Bama was on the ropes, a blatant facemask directly in front of the referee was missed, a holding flag picked up, and a sideline interference penalty was called. Just saying.

Also the sideline interference was bullshite!! Kirby was in the coaches box and the ref went extra wide and collided while Kirby was where he was supposed to be!!! When I saw that I knew the fix was on.

I agree. Refs fricked Bama again. This dude is definitely out of bounds.

I was also unaware you can legally punch the opposing Quarterback in the head after the play is over.

He looked offsides to me. No biggie though. We still would have won.

I thought the same but the refs are not going to be perfect. Best to not use the refs as an excuse for losing imho.
