Lots of sour grapes in this thread. Funny when you see which fan bases they are coming from. Always the same.
Can count on it.

I think the B1G can make a claim on having the best defenses.
Points Allowed:
1. B1G 20.71
2. B12 25.57
3. ACC 31.22
4. SEC 34.75
5. PAC 35.22
Yes...the SEC has 5, 6 or 7 games left. But they'd have to average 9 points allowed to catch the B1G and 18 to catch the B12.

Wisconsin needs a cheese turnover mascot.

I don’t think Wisconsin is about chains or swag or any of that crap
It might be just me but Wisconsin doesn’t need or want gimmicks and people acting like goofchops on the sidelines. I don’t think it fits them

I’ve seen Wisconsin play a bunch of times since I’m up here in Chicago
Only twice have they been manhandled. Once by Ohio state when the coach up and quit and the team wasn’t close to being prepared to play a game (I think he skipped a couple of practices that week). The other is Alabama in one of those neutral site games.
Wisconsin can’t beat Alabama. But they can beat anyone else in the country (maybe not Clemson). Doesn’t mean they would. But they could. They have beaten lsu, auburn, usc and Miami the last three years. They’ve lost to Ohio state three times in overtime and by 6 on the Champ game this year
Whoever said the looked unimpressive this year was dead wrong. They handled everybody they played easily
The badgers will never win a national title but they can compete and beat almost anyone on the country. If they get their recruiting into the top 10-15 instead of the thirties they will be really tough to beat

Struggled with Northwestern, struggled with Purdue, looked bad at times against Illinois, looked pretty average against Michigan.
They finished with 500+ yards only once all season. Finished with 400 or less 5 different times.
They were absolutely unimpressive against one of the weakest schedules I’ve ever seen. That’s why they were the only undefeated P5 team in America and couldn’t break the Top 5.

Yea - I love Wisconsin, especially under Chryst. They get shite on for probably not being able to win a national title, but they aren't some little plucky group of try hards. Yea, they can't beat Alabama or Ohio State, so? Neither can Miami. They beat teams with "great athletes" all the time. They just don't have enough to beat well coached teams with great athletes. No shame there, they still battle their asses off in those games.
I love watching them play. They know who they are and what they do and they do it so well.

You are just dead wrong on that. Sorry. They were up 31-10 on northwestern with four minutes left and gave up two garbage tds. The only game that was even close was Purdue and I believe they fumbled three times in the red zone and downed it the other time.
I do believe you were right on Illinois but they still won that handily. Iowa had one or two plays total in Wisconsin side of the 50. I stil firmly believe this. If you changed uniforms and you had the exact same performance but the jersey said Alabama, Clemson, penn state, Ohio state, Michigan, Oklahoma, usc, etc they would have been number one going into the conference championship games
I have very little doubt on that. To be honest Alabama performances this year weren’t really that much better. Even though Alabama is a better team

So what. They had one of the best defenses in the country.

Plus Wisconsin doesn’t try to run a play every five seconds. So any offensive stat is skewed in this college football era

Your football season is over now, pal....don't you have a Big-10 basketball forum you can go visit?

They also only had about 300 yards of offense and 13 first downs.

Another 300 yard game

I disagree. I don’t think any team with that schedule would have been ranked any higher - assuming their position in preseason polls were the same. They were disrespected because 7 of their 12 opponents had losing records, not because of the logo on their jersey.
