I personally now see clearly Richt was what was holding us back for years. This team is visibly different. Richt also never could've dreamed of recruiting like this. While I don't think he's a bad person I do not believe we owe him a lifetime of good vibes because he coached a pretty good decade here, but in two short years Smart has shown us what can be accomplished here. I mean Fromm wouldn't even be here if we hadn't fired Richt.

Ok, just caught his outrage but missed what he got so pissed about. What happened? I’ve never seen him get that bent out of shape while he was at UGA.

Think Richt didn't get ejected bc he is Richt! A normally very laid back Godly man. Most coaches would have been ejected. Hope him the best but Kirby is the better coach and he is proving it!

It wasn't just that one hold, it is holding by that one guy on every single fricking play. Egregious holding too. Like headlock holding on every single dropback. Richt already pointed it out to them, and they continued to not call it.
ETA- Wisky's right tackle. Getting beat on every play and headlocking the DE. On every single dropback play.

I haven’t seen him like that either. They were in commercial when it happened I’m not sure but it looks like the right tackle was holding a lot When they interviewed him before half he just said watch the tape and walked off. Everybody on the halftime show is saying he probably shouldve been tossed. Especially after snells ejection yesterday

I just saw the whole replay of it. Good riddance, POS. Never saw him get that worked up over a holding call against us. I will never pull for him against anyone other than anyone that hurts our ranking. KMA Richt. can't wait for the day Kirby drags his balls over your face in a game if you ever get a chance to play against our superior team.

When Richt came to UGA, he took a mediocre team and made all of us accustomed to 10 win seasons in the height of the SEC dominance reign. While I agree, we didn’t win any SEC championships in the latter years, he made 10 wins a year look easy and gave UGA the spark and pulse it needed, we all needed it. For that, to me, Richt will always be a DAMN GOOD DAWG. I hope he wins em all unless he’s playing UGA.

Thought the ACC would be a good change.
Anyone else remember that flag that was thrown on Richt for saying something to the official? Think it was vs Auburn, but he said like one or two things, turned and walked away. Another ref came running in and threw the flag. Maybe its karma making up for it by him not getting ejected.

I think the late season collapse has gotten to him in a way nothing at UGA ever did. He knows this late season choke job just lends more credence to the reason why he lost his job at UGA. You know he wanted to be able to shed that image and was in good position to do so at 10-0. That outburst was indicative of a momentary mental breakdown due to him knowing that the choke stigma will not only continue but will grow within his current teams fan base. I am sure he has heard the beginnings of it already over the last month.

Changed whole post because it’s fricking hilarious how many downvotes replies got for bashing Richt and being glad we got Kirby.
Frick Richt, complacency will follow him wherever he goes and I don’t give a shite how “godly” he is - he is paid to win football games and he didn’t do that enough toward the end at UGA and didn’t honestly seem to care.
Now he’s getting all pissy because Miami is watching the guaranteed seasonal collapse of Richt teams and it’s finally getting to him.
