An incorrect Mark Mangino sighting in CoMo ( it was Jed Fisch) on the St. Louis Post dispatch Missouri sports forum had people a little excited that he would be the OC.

I agree with one of the statements that he took a no talent team and converted a WR to QB and almost won a national championship.

I would not have a problem with him being OC as long as HCBO had a zero tolerance with him and his aggression problems. Maybe he has that under control.

He doesn't seem to play well with HC's. Had an issue while at Iowa State. But...he is a fat witch. His Iowa State offense wasn't too bad. I don't know if he would add anything to recruiting tho.

He was more successful at OU than the other OU coaches we have now. Seems to be a trend. And his is a fat witch.

HCGP lost every big game he coached. 5 conference championship games. ( 2 Big 12 2 SEC 1 MAC)

How in the world could anyone mistake Fisch for Mangino?

There’s always a Mangino rumor every time we need to hire a new position coach for football.

I would love to have Mangino. I'm still flabbergasted nobody has hired him as a HC...what he did at kU was remarkable.

I think the rumor was a "heavyweight" OC was in town to talk to HCBO. In this case heavyweight meant "big time" not "big tonnage"

He converted a QB (Kelly) to a tight end; and it worked well for KU.
