Member a few years back when they shut out Urban Meyer in the playoffs? Wow
Then how about the next year they sacked Hurts more times in the title game than he'd been sacked all year in the SEC West? Wow

Clemson traditionally recruits similar to Arkansas. Recruiting well now because Venables is there.

Where did this horse shite that we can't recruit defensive recruits come from? Do we really think that offensive recruits are somehow more open to coming to poor little arky, but those defensive studs are reserved for the blue bloods? We're not recruiting well defensively because we've had shite for defensive coaches for the last 20 years, and not enough w's. If we get a stud in there recruiting and get some Ws coming in, the recruits will come. The notion that we can only recruit offensive players is hogville type Intel, fellas.
How many 5 stars have we had in the last 5 years? 1 or 2? And which side of the ball does Agim play on again?

Exactly. The teams that win with defense have top 10 recruiting classes every year. It's not a model we'll be able to emulate. We would be better served to go the Oregon with Kelly or Baylor with Briles route and try to score 50 points a game.

First we need to see if the PAC 12 or Big 12 will take us. Then we might have a chance of success with that philosophy.

Not disagreeing with your premise, but most of the best athletes play offense in today's football. Their is just a limited number of studs on defense and we don't have any standout recruiters to get them here.
And sorry Ed, I don't see Venables having success as a HC anywhere.
