Lane Fxcking Kiffin.
He had Tennessee on the right track, 7-5 after 5-7 the previous season.
He left for his "dream job" at USC. Won 10 games in a season with NCAA sanctions that included scholarship reductions and a bowl ban. He got a raw deal and was fired too soon.
He went to Alabama and converted their 1990s offense to modern day. He won the SEC with Blake Sims and won a Natty with Jake Coker.
He took over 3-9 FAU and brought in one hell of a recruiting class. He parlayed that into a 10-3 season and a C-USA championship while also staying relevant in the news cycle by making FAU cool on Twitter

We have zero shot of bringing in a coach that could compare to that......at this moment. Plus, our recruiting class would crumble.
We could bring in Kiffin, who would compare + recruit at same or better level
I refuse to believe Auburn would ever be willing to hire that amazing troll though

They fired him on the tarmac. USC wouldn't even let him get on the plane home.

And as far as KJ’s fumble, it looked more like he lost his balance and was going down when the ball was stripped and it didn’t have to do with his injury. Could be wrong though.
Dude KJ looked like shite all night. Sure he had a few runs that anyone could have made. It's not his fault. Kid is a competitor. It's the coaches job to play healthy guys. I really don't know what our game plan was. Play KJ, oh shite we can't run, we can't pass block, frick creative screens and quick slants, let's hope for a win.

Kiffin got absolutely shafted by USC. I don't think he understood how to run a program, but they brought him in to pass through sanctions then were assholes when firing him

Clemson is up 14-0 in the first. We were headed to that and with The way The defense was playing probably a healthy win.
The fumble was the play of the game because the defense just didn't seem ready to get back out there.

That is the point I have been trying to make. He is not a good HC. Being a good coordinator does not make one a good HC. We should know that as well as anybody.

Agreed. Kiffin has the mind and talent. Saban taught him how to run a program. Yeah he is a troll and a bit immature. But at this point, I'm tired of coach speak and dusty trophy shelves. Give me the man

Not KJ's fault in the very least.
We all know who is at fault for utterly incompetent and shitty preparation. And it doesn't take half a bottle of tequila to figure it out.
The worst prepared team in the SECCG in six attempts. But, hey, at least he'll get a pay raise.

You posted the single dumbest thread on the Rant today. Just thought you should know.

After a couple years at Bama and some experience to learn from at USC/TN he should be close to ready
Let's not act like Kiffin did a bad job at TN or w 55players at USC. He also is killing it at FAU

I'm sorry, but saban's tree has really done nothing to impress me. Kirby looks to be the real deal, but other than him.......not so much. And in all honesty, I think kiffin is not smart enought o learn. If he had, he wouldn't constantly be showing his arse on twitter like some Jr. High school kid.

frick Lane Kiffin.
In the bunghole.
Without lube.

You mean making FAU and their season relevant? More people have paid attention to FAU this year than ever before
Kiffin is a troll, but that doesn't make him stupid. By multiple accounts, he is an absolutely brilliant x's and O's coach
Posted on 12/2/17 at 8:07 pm to MrAUTigers
Generational differences. Saban doesn't know what twitter is. Social media platforms are essentially a way to project the best 1% of your life as everyday life or crack jokes. Anyone that takes it seriously is a fool and Kiffin clearly does not.

Again, that doesn't make him a good HC. Chiz has a brilliant D mind. Look at what he did for UNC. That doesn't make him a good HC.
kiffin is immature. He can get away with it at FAU. He gets superior talent, compared to the rest of that Conference, because of his location. That is a huge advantage for him.
I would not care seeing him have any part of our program.

Gus kept this team together in 2015 and again this year after the LSU loss. I don’t know the guy, but Kiffin might be genius when it comes to X’s and O’s and fun on social media, but I wonder how he’d handle adversity. How would he handle low moral, discipline and some of the other responsibilities of being a head coach

I'm pro Gus staying, but if we somehow lose him I want Kiffin
Maybe Kiffin is a risky pick, but he easily has the highest ceiling of any possible option.

IF Gus leaves, and I don’t necessarily want that, then we go full A&M on Bob Stoops.
