He gets superior talent, compared to the rest of that Conference, because of his location. That is a huge advantage for him.

FAU couldn't have had too much of a talent advantage if they went 3-9 last year

He had TN going in a positive direction when he left, he won with huge sanctions at USC The idea Kiffin isn't capable of winning is a joke.

I don't think he will ever coach again. You don't walk away from what he had just because.

ETA IIRC, his Dad passed away on the sideline. I think he is just tired of all the stress that goes with that job.

Which is 100% coaching. Gus did not develop a new game plan. And he does not develop depth adequately during the season to deal with injuries.

Bob Stoops was on the decline until Baker Mayfield and Lincoln Riley showed up.

Stidham’s fumble was coaching?
Carlson’s blocked FG was coaching?
Williams, Davis and Davidson injuries during the game were coaching?
Stidham having an off night was coaching?

Look, all you melty motherfrickers. I’m not happy with the outcome and maybe coaches should get some blame, but to say Gus reverted and good riddance shows how idiotic you are.

UGA wanted this game more. Both their O and D lines played exceptionally well, and we looked like a team that has played two #1’s and another top 10 the period of a month.

There’s a big contingent on this board, The bunker and social media who want Gus gone and to get Petrino or Kiffen. frick THAT.

Well said brother!!!

Stfu... people like you that cling to just being content with beating Bama are the reason this program cannot consistently win championships

I don't want Gus fired and I don't blame this loss entirely on Gus, but that was far from a well coached game.

Kerryon was clearly hurt and I fully believe that Gus can never trust anyone but a select few players. The whole offense seems to know they needed kerryon and he wasn't available, which they didn't if Gus would have used the other backs and planned that all week.

I think Gus is a very good coach but he isn't great. Top 25 coach, in not sure about top 10. If he wants to leave to Arkansas and they are willing to pay to buy him out, I'll be fine if he leaves and we hire someone else. I think we can get another very good coach if the search is handled properly.

Gus showed a lot of improvement in the big games this year, but if he tries to extort the university for a Jimbo sized contract because of this season, he shouldn't get it imo

IF Gus leaves, and I don’t necessarily want that, then we go full A&M on Bob Stoops.

Lol, if Gus leaves it's because auburn won't pay. We aren't gonna not pay for Gus and then pay for someone else.

I feel like that ignorant a-hole Bama fan tonight, but I don't think begging Gus and paying him giant dollars to stay is the right choice. I saw 3 choke games this year where all the talent didn't get used to adjust. Am I that guy?

Not sure who would do better and with all the returning players next year it could be our chance. Just not sure if Gus is the guy to get it done. I'll step away from the ledge until the bowl game. If Gus goes we will just see what happens and I'll be OK.
