Didnt OM's new contract have a slightly higher amount for this? wonder how this is comparatively across the big 6

Seems excessive for a guy with his track record against ranked teams... He's a good hire for your third (or lower) choice though...
With those incentives though, most years his base salary is essentially 6.3 mil. Very little reason for him not to be in a Bowl Game at UF... and unless they have some very high academic standards, one would have to assume that one is a bit of a gimme as well. All in all, Mullen did very well for himself.

Can’t believe Florida whiffed on Frost and Chip.

it's stupid money for him, but that's how it is going with the current SEC money

Yeah, just barely (unless that 5 is including S&C staff):

Uncertain about all big 6 schools. Will check if there is a "pool" for UGA. If not, I can easily add up our staff's numbers.

They could make this $200,000,000 and never have to spend a dime.

We shall see. Last time he was here no one was better offensively in the conference for his four years. So seems he knows how to succeed at Florida.

I'm surprised there's not an incentive for beating a top 25 team.

$6M? For a terrible HC. The sounds like uf. For fricks sake

This guy had something to do with that:
It's easy when your boss gets you 4-5* talent everywhere

But what about Chip’s contract details

Currently, UGA spending 4.71 on only 9 coaches... the figures in those contracts are based on 10. Seems like it's about in line, since if I were to average out those guys and add one more at the average value, would be at 5.2ish... though I anticipate several of these guys getting substantial raises (ahem... Dell McGee) if they are with us next season.
quote:
Tucker - 900k (50k raise this year)
Chaney - 850k
Pittman - 660k (10k raise this year)
Coley - 600k
Scott - 400k (interesting)
Sherrer - 375k
McGee - 350k (75k raise this year)
Beamer - 300k
Schumann - 275k (25k raise this year)
*raise figures were received for this year, not accounting for 2018

That is a pretty rich deal. For someone who could have had Gundy for similar money, I think you made the wrong hire.

Yeah... I mean, if the 8.4 number to Gundy is real, wtf is Saban going to ask for at the end of this year... or Gus if he manages to run the damn table... or Kirby if he wins in Atlanta. There are some guys with legitimate reason to get this kind of money that aren't currently (Gus and Kirby are at 3.875 and 3.75 respectively I believe?).

Teeeeeboooow.
That being said, if he can steal Fields from UGA, he'll probably win the NC in a couple of years.
